Today is the day!!

Are you guys ready for a new kind of challenge? One that will make you think outside of the box? If so... you have happened upon the right blog!!

Today we are announcing a new challenge called "Everything But The Kitchen Sink"! This challenge is going to be monthly and is going to be hosted each month by one of six fab bloggers!

Each month the host blogger will choose an item from around the house and will issue a challenge to all of you/us. The challenge will be to come up with a card using the item and then link your blog post/card using Mr. Linky on the host blog!

This month, Courtney Baker, is the challenge hostess with the mostest! Courtney is also the one who came up with the challenge idea! And what a great idea it is... don't ya think?

Courtney's challenge is to use something from the mail!!

Since this is the first challenge, Courtney is offering a $25 gift certificate to PAPERTREY INK to one of you!! Woo Hoo! You can check out Courtney's blog for more details on how that will work!

Challenge begins today and ends on Friday, October 9th . So.... get busy making some cards people!!! Are you as excited as I am?!?!? Oh... and tell all your blogging friends about this new challenge!! :) We are all so excited and would love love love to have great participation!!

Here are the cards that I made for the challenge!

On this first card, the family sign is from a catalog that I had received in the mail that day. It was a new catalog to me so I immediately flipped through it to see if it was a keeper or a recycle..er! :) When I saw this sign, I thought... hey... I can cut that out and use it on a card!! Cool!! I backed it with some thin recycled cardboard so I could pop it up with dimensionals.

On this card, I used newspaper to create a couple of flower layers! This was my original idea so I felt like I should go ahead and do that as well!! I sponged all of the flower with Ranger's Tattered Rose distress ink. Matches PTI's Sweet Blush pretty well!

I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!! :)

Be sure to pay a visit to the other girls so you can see what they created!! You will not be disappointed!!

Ann Cox

Hope you all have a fabulous day! AND... thanks for being such good sports about all the teasing that has been going on! :) Love you guys!!

To All The Night Owls....

and the early risers who will actually read this before my next post goes live...

Don't forget to check in bright and early so you can see what all the exciting news/teasing has been about!! I am so excited and I know you will be too!!

And... for those of you who were wondering how much progress I made in my attic! (as if anyone really cares.. ha) I AM DONE! I am tired and my back is sore but... hey... how is that different from any other day!? :)

I cannot tell you how happy I am to have that done! I can actually walk in my attic and get to things, etc! You can see lots and lots of floor space! Now... the garage... not so much! It is housing all the stuff from the attic! :)

I don't know how I can accumulate so much stuff! Seriously... I mean... how in the world do I manage every year to have a yard sale and have soooo much stuff to sale? I mean... I haven't bought a ton of stuff for the house the past two years! As I said yesterday... no redecorating in a while! I don't know how I had it all in my house to begin with! I am not a pack rat!! I don't think!?!?!?

Ok... enough rambling!

Be sure to stop by in the morning!! :)

Let's Hoot Together!!

So I got this owl stamp at CK Nashville. I just loved it! And... it was only $1.99!! I couldn't wait to play with it. Of course... it has been sitting here for a few weeks now.

When I got my blog candy package, from the sweet and talented Carly, this sentiment was included. I knew immediately that the two stamps were asking to go together on a card! What a perfect match!

So... hope you guys have had an amazing day! Carver and I went to Michael's for a little while this morning and we have been home the rest of the day. I have been washing and ironing all of Carver's fall and winter clothes! Last night, I went outside and it was cold! Well... colder than it has been in a long time. I decided it was time to quit procrastinating and get all of C's clothes ready to wear!

I also got some of the bins out of the attic (with the help of the hubby) and started going through those. This sounds crazy, I know, but... I cannot stand to have so much stuff in the attic. It just drives me crazy! I think about it all the time!

I finally decided to go through all of those baby bins! I have kept EVERYTHING! I know good and well that I will not use all of what I have kept. Some things I didn't use the first time or... some things I will just want new if we were to have another baby! I still have a lot to go through but as of right now... I have 3 BIG tubs worth of stuff that has got to go!

Next on the list... all of those holiday decor boxes and home decor boxes! I try to keep the home decor boxes cleaned out but sometimes I like to just go through them again so I can remember what I have! I need to see if I have anything that I can alter and use it! I am getting in the redecorating mode. I haven't been there in a long while because I have been in stamp mode but... I am feeling some fresh paint, etc. calling my name! It is just discouraging because I want to redo my whole house but it takes too much money! I just have to be patient and work on one room at a time and try to do it with a small budget. I am just not a patient person!!

But... I am.... a CHATTY person!! :)

Well..... a couple more things before I go!

Do you all have any plans or ideas for this ... ?

I would love to hear about them! My IRL friend, Courtney, is coming over for pizza and crafting! I am super excited!! I wish it was tomorrow! :)

Last thing... don't forget to check back on the 30th (bright and early) to hear about the exciting news that I have been talking about! A PTI gift certificate may or may not be up for grabs!! :)

Supplies:
Stamps - Owl (Prima), Sentiment (Inky Antics)
Paper - Kraft, Vintage Cream, Dark Choc. Bitty Box, Orange Zest (PTI)

Ink - True Black (PTI)
Other - Crayola colored pencil, Black Rhinestones (Kaiser)

Spread Joy

Hope you guys have had a wonderful and relaxing Sunday! We went to church this morning and then came home for lunch. I was hoping to take a nap but that didn't work out. I had some stuff to do before Sept. 30th comes around!! Hint Hint.... remember... exciting news... so make sure to check back on the 30th! Here is another little teaser for you....

Anyway.... so we went to my SIL's house for dinner tonight! We had breakfast for dinner and it was YUMMY! I don't ever think to have breakfast for dinner but I am going to try to remember to do that once in a while. I love breakfast food but rarely eat breakfast!

Ok... so... on to the card! This is the card I made weeks ago for the new Embellish magazine and it's first publication call! I just watched Ashley's video and realized that we could post our cards on our blog! So.... here it is! I thought these colors would make a cute Christmas card so that is what I went with! Not the traditional red and green but... it is okay to break tradition once in a while, right?

So.... still no new cards to post but am excited to start making some stuff as soon as I am done posting this. Hopefully my mojo will find me and we can get our groove thing on!

Thanks for checking in!! Peace and Love! Oh... and Spread Joy! :)

Stamps - Worn Grid (Unity)
Paper - Kraft (PTI)

Wow....

It's been a while!! I have not been home long enough this week to post, comment, or make anything! I am officially done working at my parents house! So.... I hope to catch up with everyone tonight and see what all I have missed out on. I hope I can find my mojo and make something as well! I have missed you guys! and I have missed my craft room!!

These are two cards that I made for submissions that were rejected/not accepted (whichever you prefer). They are very similar to some other cards that I have made in the past. I just changed up a couple of things.

This first card is using my Crate Paper and PTI goodies. This second card is all PTI... with the exception of the sentiment.

Hope you all have had a fab week and I can't wait to catch up with you later on!! Peace and Love!

Make sure to keep checking in with me! I have some fun and exciting news to share in a few days!! :)

Polka Dot Paradise Color Challenge

This is my card for the PDPCC! I struggled with this card! I started with a different card and it was looking too much like a card I had made previously so I went with this! I really wanted to play with the Vintage Labels set from PTI!! I was soooooooo excited when it came out. Labels One is my all time favorite Nestie!! I will be sending this card to a close friend in the next few days!

Anyway.... hope you have all had a great day today and have another great one tomorrow! I may be MIA as far as commenting for a few days! I need to make some cards that I can post... if I get any free time that I am not using to sleep!

My parents are on vacation and I got a call today from their alarm company saying their alarm was going off. I live one town over but my brothers live in the same town. When they called... my brothers were still at work and I was the closest one with a key! Anyway.... that turned out to be nothing but when I arrived... I happened upon an issue that needed immediate attention. My brother came over to assist me and looks like I am going to be cleaning my parents house for the next couple of days before they get home. As much as I hate this issue for my parents... I am glad that it is giving me an opportunity to do something for them! Seeing as how they always do so much for me! My SIL is going to be pitching in and my hubby and in-laws have volunteered to watch the kiddo so I can get everything back to normal before they get home! Every time my parents go out of town.. something happens in their home that requires major work/repair! If this keeps up... they are never going to leave the house again! :)

Well... thanks for listening to me ramble if you have made it this far! :) I will be talking to you soon... hopefully!!

Bunch of Nothin

Hey guys... Hope you all are having a great Monday! I have been running errands this morning and now Carver is napping so I thought I would get on and post a few cards. These are cards that I made a while ago. They are all 'love' theme so I thought I would post them together. I like this top one pretty well... pretty simple but I like it. The other two... hmmm... not so much! But... I thought I would post them anyway! Just makes me work harder next time to make and share something better!

I haven't really made anything new that I can share right now! I hope to make some cards tonight... if I can stay awake long enough. I have been working on cleaning out and organizing my craft room... yet again! I am very very happy with how much progress I have made. I have gotten a lot of stuff out of here that will go in my garage sale (if I ever have it)! I am just tired of hanging on to so much stuff. Most of what I have let go is stuff I have collected over the years. I have crafted more since I have had this blog so a lot of the previous stuff is just not stuff that I will use any more so... time to send it packing!! I just don't have the room. I just feel so much better having let it go! I feel like I can actually see the stuff that I want to use because it isn't hiding under all the stuff I won't!

Wow... did you want to know all of that? :)

Well... my lunch is done so going to go eat! Peace and Love!!

What's shaken...

bacon!!

I saw this sentiment in a set of Hanna stamps and knew that I had to do this card! :) I didn't have a pig stamp so I cut out around a pig image on a piece of patterned paper and adhered it to white cardstock (to make it more sturdy) and then cut it out again! I didn't want to try and cut out the curly q tail so... I made one with a thin strip of purple cardstock!

Honey... I didn't go buy a pig stamp... are you proud? :)

Anyway... quick post. Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! My in-laws have Carver again tonight... Thank you Thank you Thank you Granna and Poppy! :)

We met with a young couple who are having their wedding ceremony tomorrow but really wanted to be married today. So... we ate dinner and then found a nice spot in town for Michael to marry them tonight. That was a lot of fun! We had a great time hanging out and that was my first time being the only witness to a marriage!! So sweet!

Anyway... since my little man isn't here... I am going to try and get some stuff done around the house before bed and possibly work on my craft room some more!

Peace and Love!!

Shine On Moxie Fab!! Shine On!!

Ok... so I ended up entering my 'will work' sign for Moxie Fab! I just couldn't help myself! I thought it was too funny! HOWEVER... I do understand that it isn't funny in the fact that, unfortunately, many ladies... just like us... may have to resort to trying to sell their crafty goodies to make money for food! Jobs are so hard to come by these days so... in that regard... it isn't funny!

I just love love love stamping and crafting so... that sign is definitely a household staple around here. I would rather be stamping for food than doing any other kind of work!! How about you girls? Wouldn't it be awesome to get paid ... and I mean... a good amount of money... to do something you love to do? That is my dream anyway!! :)

Ok... so enough on that subject!

Here is the card that I had originally planned on making to enter into the Moxie Fab current challenge! Because of the sentiments in this set, I tried to make it sort of a Valentines card! I thought I could send it to family or friends around Valentines Day just to say... "hey... you light up my life!"!!

Well... enough chatter from me today! Off to watch the last episode of The Guiding Light! Ha! I have been a stay at home mom for almost 3 years now and have never really gotten into watching soap operas!! They are so silly! However... this soap is one that I watched in the summers as a teenager so I was sad to hear it was going off the air! I have been trying to watch bits and pieces of it since I heard the news! Yesterday I was glued to the couch the entire episode and just cried... :) How silly is that? I am sure I will do the same today!

Hope you all are having a Fabulous Friday!!

Economy Inspired!!

ha!! I crack myself up sometimes!! :)

Well... short post! My son spent the night with my in-laws last night and as usual... when Carver is gone for some reason I feel the need to start cleaning out/reorganizing my craft room! So... no posting last night! Gotta jump in the shower and head out to pick him up!

It has been raining here for 2 days now... no sunlight so I had to take this picture inside. Hope it isn't too dark!

I thought about submitting this to the Moxie Fab challenge since one day this might be a household item for me! I may have to stand on the street by the interstate with a sign like this! I pray that is not the case but... you never know!

Hope you are all having a wonderful Thursday!!

You Got Style!!

This is a card that I made for the Paper Crafts September Challenge... Clean and Graphic! I love this image from Unity!

I have always loved Unity stamps and bought my first Unity stamps well over a year ago! Since a lot of the images require coloring, I had gotten away from purchasing Unity! Lately though... I have tried my hand at coloring more because I just love Unity stamps! I love the designs and how well they stamp!

One note to self though.... next time I plan to color with copics... use StazOn!

I am not that good at using my copics but this dress looks a little worse than it had to because I used my PTI ink. It seemed to run a little while I was coloring! Live and Learn!!

On another note... it seems like several of you were still unclear about the whole World Card Making Day thing too! This is what I figured out with some help from my friends!

October 3rd is World Card Making Day! You can read all of the fun things suggested to do on this day if you visit the Paper Crafts blog and follow the links! (too lazy right now to link it for you... sorry) Courtney and I plan to get together and craft on this day so I am super excited about that! They encourage you to post about WCMD on your blog on the 3rd if you are doing something to celebrate the day... even just making a card!

There is a contest where you can win a nice prize package and a chance to get your card published in an issue of Paper Crafts. You have until October 12th to mail your cards in for this contest! You do have to mail them in to submit for the contest. You can find out about the type of cards to submit, etc. on the Paper Crafts WCMD site.

There is also a gallery set up (or will be?!?) that you can just go link your cards (other than the ones you are mailing in) to share with others for inspiration and to get some inspiration of your own!

Is that clear as mud or what?!?! :)

Disclaimer... some of this could be wrong... just telling you what I understand to be correct! :)

So... anyone made any cards to send in yet? I have made 2 but I tell you what... I love them both! I am going to have a hard time putting those bad boys in the mail... to never see again! I am assuming they don't send your cards back (need to investigate that further). I did take pics even though you can't share so... I can duplicate them at some point and/or share on my blog if/when they are not chosen!

I, sometimes, have a hard time letting my cards go... does anyone else feel this way? You put so much time and thought into a lot of them and then you have to give them away! :) Sometimes to people you know could care less that you made it! I just try not to think about how many of my cards just get thrown in the trash... how many good buttons and ribbon I have wasted! :) Ha! That's ugly, isn't it?

Well... guess I am chatty again tonight! I have had 2 naps today and need to go back to bed now! I will spare you the whole "I am not feeling good story" because it is the same ole thing... I think it is the kidney stone!! You guys have heard enough about that! I will tell you if there are any new developments! :)

Peace and Love!

Have a Hoot

This is a card that I made the other night for a friends son, Braden! Braden turned 12 today!

Not a lot to talk about today! :) So... this is actually going to be a short post!

Hope you have all had a great Monday and have an awesome Tuesday!

I had a great day today... feel like I got a lot accomplished! Let's hope the same is true for tomorrow! Lots of cleaning to do... fun fun!

Oh... I have a question!! I have been trying to figure out the World Card Making Day thing! Does anyone have any knowledge of this? I thought it was an online thing... then I saw that you have to mail your cards in... and... I have two different deadline dates going on!? HELP! :) I'm confused!!

Peace and Love!!

Happy Birthday

Wow... what a weekend! I am pooped!! How about you?

So... yesterday... I got the opportunity to go shop at the CK Nashville event! OMW!! I could have spent $1000 easy.... if I had $1000 to spend!

My friend, Courtney, had received a free pass to the shopping event and was kind enough to pass that along to me! :) Thank you again Courtney! I am sooooo glad that I did not miss out on that! Not only was it an awesome time because I was surrounded with so much yummy stuff but... I got to hang out and shop with two friends... fun times!! :)

Now... onto the card... I believe I owe you guys a short(er) post so... I will try to make that happen!

This is a card that I made... shamefully... last night to give to my SIL today! I do have a pretty good excuse... I didn't get this set until a few days ago. I had to order more white paper and decided at $15... I would jump on the In Bloom bandwagon!! I knew I wanted to use this set for Cindi's card so I was waiting around to get it! I wasn't a huge fan of this set when it came out but after seeing all the wonderful cards that you guys have made using it... I changed my mind!

I used glossy accents on the entire flower... looks like a big puffy sticker... love it!

So... today we celebrated Cindi's birthday at my parents house!

Here is a picture of my SIL and my bro and nephew!! My SIL is the sweetest woman you could ever meet! Not a mean bone in her body! Well... unless you mess with her family! I love you Cindi!! :)

Hope you guys have had a wonderful Sunday! Peace and Love!

Thanks

Today is an appropriate time for me to post this card! I made this card for our neighbor's little boy, Grayson! I will come back to that in a few!

It is appropriate for me to post a Thank you card because... I want to Thank all of you.. my friends... for your sweet comments about my last post (and every post)! I talk about certain friends, on my blog, from time to time because for whatever reason... I have felt led to do so and wanted to do so! BUT... all of you have a special place ... just for you... in my heart! You all give me so much encouragement EVERY DAY.... and I can't tell you enough how much that means to me! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Today has been a busy day and I have replied to everyone's comments, by email, that I could! Some of you (I am sure if you are a blogger user you know what I mean) I can't reply to straight from your comment in my email because your email is not connected to it (however that works!?!?!) so... if you didn't get a reply from me as an email... I will leave you a comment very soon! (wow... that was a long sentence... hope no one is grading me!) I hope to check all my fav blogs (yours) tomorrow since I didn't get any blurfing (Karen's awesome word... THAT one was for you Karen!) done today! I don't like it when I miss a day of seeing what you have been up to!

I think I have said before... that a fault of mine is... I always feel the need to explain myself! That last paragraph is another example! :) I just want you to know that I want to personally (as personal as you can get over the internet) Thank you for your comments! :) I worry too much!

Anyway... I guess tonight is another chatty night for me! Sorry! Thanks for still coming back day after day! :) I am feeling a little crazy tonight... maybe I am a little delirious from lack of sleep!?!?

Back to the card! When we were preparing to go on vacation, we asked our neighbor, Jason, to feed our dogs. After we got home, Michael went over to get our food, etc. from Jason. Jason told Michael how he and Grayson had gone over every night to feed and play with the dogs! So... as a Thank you to them for taking care of our outside children... I thought I would make a Thank you for Grayson. I was so tickled when I remembered that I had this stamp from Sassafras! The perfect stamp for the job!

We got Grayson a little toy motorcycle... nothing expensive at all... but we wanted to get him something for coming over with his dad to take care of our Lucy and Buddy!

As an adult... I don't expect any gifts for helping out a neighbor. As a parent... I don't expect them either but it sure means a lot when someone does something for your child! So... even though it isn't a lot... I hope it means a lot to Jason and lets him know we appreciate them doing this for us! Jason is a good neighbor... sometimes he just mows our yard for us out of the blue! Makes me want to be a better neighbor!! I am so anti-social!! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday! Thank you, if you made it this far, for enduring another long post! I will try to sneak a few short ones in here the next couple of days... to give you a break! :)

Whew... I'm tired... what about you? Ha!

Supplies:
Stamp- Freedom (Sassafras)
Paper - Vintage Cream (PTI)
Ink - Dark Chocolate (PTI)

Thanks Mom and Dad and a Woo Hoo!!

WARNING... I feel a long post coming!!

This is the card that I made for my mom and dad using a sketch from the latest Caardvarks Challenge!

As most of you know, my family went on a little vacation recently! This card is to thank my parents for everything that they do! My parents know what it is like to only have one income while you are trying to raise a small child (or three in their case). They appreciate my husband for the amazing work that he does and for allowing me to stay home to raise our son! That being said... my parents gave us a gift to help with our vacation and also got little man some beach toys! This card is in no way 'enough' of a Thank You but... I don't think I could ever thank them enough for all they do!

My parents are the most giving people that I know! They worked hard while we were young... sacrificing things for themselves... so that we could have a good life! They still do this today and we are all grown with our own families! They do this despite protests from us! What a great example I have had set for me! I need to start selling a lot of cards if I am going to be able to help my son (and any future.. hopefully... children) the way that they have helped all of us! :)

Now... back to the card! :)

The stamped sentiment is hard to see in the pics. It is hard to see in real life but... somewhat better than the pictures show! I highlighted the sentiment with rhinestones to draw the eye towards it! Have I said before that I love Ali Edwards stamps!?!?! Well... if not... I DO! I want to own all of them and ... I want to get into digital/hybrid stuff basically just so I can use her awesome products!

Anyway...

Onto the Woo Hoo!!

This has been a truly awesome day! I have been run ragged today... and ran late at everything.. but awesome day!

Carver went to school today and I did my usual cleaning stuff. Well.. after lunch, I received an email from Paper Crafts telling me that they had accepted 3 of my cards for the upcoming Stamp It! issue!! I can not tell you how floored I was! I cried several times today... not sobbing but... just tears of joy while I was thanking my God!!

I am by no means a bible scholar so I really felt that God laid these verses on my heart because He wanted me to share them with you! These two passages just kept ringing in my ears!!

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11

"Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires." Psalm 37:4

It may seem silly to say but... getting this kind of 'acceptance' was a heart's desire for me! My God just gave His daughter... a great big present!!

I have been struggling with having the ' I Can' attitude. I feel like this was a big ole'... 'you can do it girl' !! :) My new plan for what I want to do 'when I grow up' may not be where God is going to lead me but... I am along for the ride because I trust Him!!

I hate to talk about anything else after that but... since I am all sappy right now... I just want to say that if you don't know Elise... you should get to know her! In such a short amount of time... she has become such a wonderful blog friend! What an encourager she is!! Elise has a gift and I am sure enjoying her presence in my life!

Also... another blog friend, Betty, emailed me wanting to do such a sweet thing for me! I won't go into the details but... it meant a lot to me! It has really touched me!

Betty has the most amazing layered cards! Her cards seem like they would take FOREVER just to crank out one but she just keeps them coming all the time! You should check her out too!

Sorry for such a long post! I just feel really blessed today! I look at my family, my blog family, my church family, and most importantly... my God.. and I just can't help but to LET IT OUT! :) I know everyday that I am blessed! Some days just get me a little more sappy than others! Sorry if you are a new blog reader catching me on one of these days! :) Ha!!

Love you all!!

Happy Birthday Kelly Marie!!

While I was on vacation, I got an email from, super sweet, Lynnette. Lynnette had read on Kelly Marie's blog that her birthday was coming up and thought Kelly would love to get some birthday cards from her blogging buds! I was so happy to get her email and be able to make a card for Kelly! I found though... it is a lot more pressure to make a card for another card maker than someone who doesn't make cards! I only had a couple of days, after getting home, to make her card so I finally decided on this! CAS! That seems to be what I am the best at for the most part! :)

I did know that I wanted to make Kelly Marie a shaped card. Kelly made a video tutorial on how to make shaped cards... for me... well... not just for me but I was at least one of the people who had asked her how to make them! I was a bad blog bud and didn't watch the video for a long time but when I did... she made it look so easy that I actually thought, "Hey... I can do that!". Mojo Madness

This is my card for the latest Mojo challenge! I used my new American Crafts goodies! I just love American Crafts!

I have a confession today.... I am so addicted to stapling my ribbon on! I have seen this several times and I just love the way it looks! The very first time I saw it... I thought to myself "who would staple right on their cards?!?"! Now I can answer myself... "ME!". I am not very good at tying bows so... this technique works for me!

Hope you all are having a great day! Mine has been good! C is asleep and I am crafting!

I have noticed that when I do my posts during the day, I am not as chatty! I guess I feel more like talking at night or something! :)
I know some of you probably wish that I would do all my posts during the day! Ha!

Before I go... I want to say a HUGE Congrats to Tina (aka... Travelingmama), Winter, and Maile for being Moxie Fab! Woo Hoo!
I did get a mention on Cath's post today about the winners so I am excited about that! Cath's challenges are always so much fun!

Congrats to Kelly Marie and Vanessa for getting a shout out on Cath's blog today too! :)

Peace and Love!

2S4Y #34

I was looking at different challenges last night because I needed a little help getting some ideas for a few thank yous that I want to make. I really liked this sketch so I went with it!

I just kept piling on stuff until I said... "OK... that's enough"!! :) I like it... it makes me happy!! A little out of my comfort zone but... I am not going to get any better at this layering stuff until I keep trying it!

Hope you are all having a fabulous day! Keeping this short and sweet! My little one is home from school (Mothers Day Out) but I wanted to go ahead and do my post. I need to work on a few more thank yous and a couple of birthday cards tonight!

Happy Halloween!

This is a card that I made a long time ago! I wanted to go ahead and post it since I haven't made anything else that I can share yet. I submitted several cards to Paper Crafts! Since the deadline is tonight, I can start working on some new stuff to blog! After September 15th... I will have a lot of cards to share! 16 new ones unless, by some miracle, they pick one to publish! I am sure a lot of you have been submitting as well so... good luck to all of us! :)

I used my new Bo Bunny Halloween papers and some Making Memories pieces that I picked up last year! Not my fav card but it is still cute to me because it is Halloween! I love Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! We went to a friends house for lunch and had a great time hanging out with some good friends! We have just been around the house the rest of the day, except for a short trip to Target!

Two things that I want to share because I have had questions/comments about them recently...

1. boo boo... my nephew, Alex, was probably 1 year old when he started calling me boo boo! My mom would always run through everyone's names with him. Alex could say na na, pa pa, da da, ma ma, kiss (for chris) but he would always just get quiet when mom asked him to say Kelley. One day mom and I had him with us on a trip to the mall and mom was going over names with him. When she got to Kelley, Alex got real quite and then came out with boo boo! We laughed and I have been boo boo ever since! From then on, he would say boo boo when you asked him to say Kelley! :)

2. my blog header picture... this is a picture that I took last summer. I had some flowers planted in the front yard and every time Carver and I would go outside, he would go pick a flower for both hands. When we would get ready to go in, I would ask him to leave them outside on the bench. One day I took pictures of the flowers he picked. Since I was using my bench/pew as my natural light backdrop to take pics of my cards, I thought this picture would be a good fit for my blog name! It has special meaning that only I know about (but now you do too)!!

Happy Birthday Alex!!

My nephew, Alex, celebrates his birthday this week! We celebrated his birthday at lunch today! It is hard to believe that he is 13 years old! That little toot has grown up so fast and bless his parents heart... he has officially started acting like a teenager! :) We know he will grow out of it... we just pray his parents don't kill him before he can! Ha!

Alex is into football and girls right now! Since I didn't think I should make him some type of girl card... I went with a football card! It had money in it so... I hope he liked it! :) Alex is officially at the age where he just wants money for gifts now! That is nice in a way because how easy is that... just stopping by the ATM!??! It is also a little sad! It just means he is growing up!

Alex is so tall and handsome! We are very proud of him and know that he is going to do great things with his life! I love him!! I will forever be Boo Boo thanks to him! If he ever calls me Kelley... I think I will have to whip him! I don't care how old and big he gets!

Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday and have great plans for Labor Day!! We are going to have dinner at a friends house! I am looking forward to that! Peace and Love!

Raspberry Suite #16

I saw Dawn's newest color challenge while I was on vacation! I was so anxious to get home and play with these awesome colors! We got home a little after 7pm last night! After getting the car unloaded and getting settled back in at home, I camped out in my craft room while I waited for some clothes to finish! That was about midnight or later! :) My eyes were so droopy but I was determined that I was going to get some crafting done!

This card is for our friend, Cathy, who came over to take care of our animals and get the mail for us while we were gone!

Thanks to all of you who checked in and followed my play by play of our vacation! :) I took a notepad so I could make notes about our trip (for a scrapbook) but ended up just blogging instead!

We had a great time but we are all glad to be back home! If I can just get all the laundry done and toys, etc. washed up... I will be one happy gal!

Hope you all are enjoying your weekend!
