Everything But The Kitchen Sink Challenge 10

It is time for another Everything But The Kitchen Sink around the house challenge! Courtney Baker is the challenge hostess this month! Courtney chose fabric as her household item.

Make sure to check out the EBTKS blog for all of the challenge details and to see the other girls creations!

This month's sponsor is the Cutting Cafe. The winner of this months challenge will receive three digital sets of your choice!

Here is the first card that I created!

The flower is from Cutting Cafe's Heart Flower set!

I wasn't happy with this card (or the photography) ... AT ALL! I am only showing it to you because I made the 2nd card so late that this one was already scheduled to post on the EBTKS blog.

So... last night I had a duh moment, while working on a project for a friend, and made another card.

I will spare you all the boring details... let's just say... I am a little slow sometimes!

So... here is card #2... I like it much better. It is also using the Heart Flower set!

BTW.... you can use any fabric from your house... like an old t-shirt or sweater. So... get creative and cut up some old clothes! :)

I can't wait to see what you guys create!

Peace and Love!

Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger

I mailed the last of my Thank you cards today! Woo Hoo!

Here are the last two cards that I made to send to my parents and one to my in-laws. I loved the colors for this weeks Tuesday Trigger on Moxie Fab so I used that as my inspiration! I used my scor pal to create the embossed background on the first card. I also used this card by Ashley Cannon Newell for inspiration on the 2nd card. I loved how she filled in the dots with markers and I wanted to try the same thing. Background Basics Retro by PTI has become one of my all time favorite stamp sets!

So... here are the cards...

Stamps - Loving Words (Technique Tuesday)
Paper - Kraft, True Black and Lemon Tart (PTI)

CARDS Blog Challenge

Edit... This card was featured on the CARDS blog!

This is my submission to this weeks CARDS blog challenge... to make a shaped card! I love my Labels One dies! I really want the Labels 8 dies too... love those!

So... today has been fairly productive! Carver went to school today. He spent the night last night with my in-laws so between that and his trouble sleeping even while at home... this mornings drop off did not go well. I met them at the church to see Carver and to bring his school bag and lunch! Well... about 30 mins later I left to come back home! I should have just taken him with me because he was really upset but I really wanted to get some stuff done so I made him stay! He had calmed down but was still snubbing by the time I left. I started to go back and get him but after 3 phone calls to Michael, asking him to go check in on Carver, I finally decided he was okay and I got to work! I cleaned out a lot of Carvers toys and clothes that were too young/too small! I have two trash bags full waiting to go up into the attic and I am not even done with his closet yet! I still have the whole bottom to go through and that is a lot of toys.... most of them I hope to get rid of. I think he has a hard time playing with his toys because there are so many... almost like me... I think he gets overwhelmed and just doesn't know where to start or what to do! ha!

Anyway... so as tired as Carver was... he didn't nap at school. He had a sub today in his class so that always means that he isn't going to obey the rules. He is always good with his regular teacher but he tends to act out when she is not there and won't stay on his mat!

After we got home, and after a few threats, he FINALLY went to sleep! I got him up a while later and we went to eat dinner with Michael and then went to watch our youth teams play each other in their last game! Those boys are so funny!

Phew... apparently I am chatty tonight! :) I guess I just felt like sharing my day! Thanks for listening (reading)! Hope you all have had a great day!

Peace and Love!

We Interrupt This Regularly Scheduled Program

.... bucket cards... to bring you A NEW CARD!! Woo Hoo! I actually made a card last night! Working on making a few more thank you cards to send to a couple of family members, etc!

The stitching still isn't perfect but I am enjoying using my sewing machine. Hopefully I will get better with more practice! I have a little Singer craft machine and my sweet friend, Sarah, insisted that I borrow one of her (seven... shhhh) sewing machines! So... looking forward to trying that out! She came over this morning with her adorable granddaughter to show me how to thread it!

Thank you guys so much for the tips/advice on getting started with my scrapbooking! I REALLY appreciate it! I started scrapbooking a long time ago. I had scrapbooks in middle school and high school but I didn't have any supplies to make them pretty! They were pretty much just a place for me to keep all of my school and sport memories together! So... I guess I have been scrapbooking for a long time. I have yet to finish a scrapbook for myself. I have one that stares at me everyday needing to be finished. I started it in 2005 I think!...so Yea! I have done a few for family members though!

I am just really excited to dive in and do it! I have so many supplies and I am thinking/hoping that I can use up a lot of my stuff, that I hoard, in my scrapbooks! I think I will use it since it is on something that I will be keeping! Unless of course my scrapbooking will be like my card making... Clean and Simple... then I just need to sell a bunch of crap! Ha!!

Anyway... Thank you Thank you Thank you! and thanks for coming back day after day to check in with me! You guys are the best!

Peace and Love!

Supplies:
Stamps - Loving Words (Technique Tuesday)
Paper - Kraft (PTI), Bo Bunny Kitchen Spice Collection

Cards and Asking for Advice

Happy Tuesday! Carver went to school today and I found that I didn't get much done while he was gone. Time flew by and it was time to pick him up before I knew it! Anyway... he is taking a short nap now (so he won't be so ill later) and I wanted to post a couple more cards and ask for some advice!

Here are the cards....

And here is my question! I am wanting to get started scrapbooking our pictures... mainly Carvers pictures right now! It is so overwhelming to even think about and you can tell from me talking about getting my Thank you cards out... that when something seems overwhelming... I tend to put it off as long as I can.

So... I need some tips/advice on where to start! Do I start from the beginning or do I start with the now and keep that up while going back and getting caught up? I am not even sure what to scrapbook. I have to fight this need for everything to match... like all special occasions or by the month, etc. I know I need to just do it all... some pages just about a story, some holidays, some just because... I just need help! If you scrapbook ... please help me! :) ha... I am looking for ANY advice! I think the main thing is to just START!! :)

Thanks in advance for any tips you guys offer!

Peace and Love!

Sunday CAS cards

Hope you guys have had a great Sunday! Mine has been mostly good with a few bad parts! When I am really tired... I tend to be more likely to snap at people (family mostly) which I did today and feel bad. I apologized but sometimes that just doesn't help! I hate that about myself and as much as I try to do better... I always fail! That is what I love so much about God's love... He is always quick to forgive and I am so thankful! I need a big helping of forgiveness daily!!

Anyway... I will keep the chatting to a minimum since it seems as though I am in one of those whining moods! :)

More Bucket Love

Actually... these are Picasa love/bucket love! A couple of these were sent in for WCMD so I don't actually have the cards anymore!

Hope you guys had a wonderful Saturday! We didn't get up until 10am! But... I didn't actually go to sleep until 4am. For some reason, Carver is having a hard time sleeping at night! He is aware now that he can get out of his bed so... he does! Anyway... he woke up at 2am and then at 3am he was still asking if he could get in our bed. I put him in our bed and he wiggled and kicked for an hour. So... needless to say... I have not been the happiest camper today! Neither has Carver. Michael, however, was sound asleep and had no trouble sleeping as far as I know! Kicks and all... he was out!!

We went for a visit with my grandparents today. My grandmother's birthday is coming up and my grandfather is in poor health... very poor health! So... that was good but sad at the same time!

Okay... well... enough chatter... here are the cards! Going to try and visit some of you before I go get in the bed!

Peace and Love! :)

Quilt Love

I couldn't show pics of my quilt made by my church friends without sharing pics of the quilt that my aunt, Margaret, made me! Isn't it beautiful? I should have taken a shot of the detail work on this quilt... there is no telling how many hours were spent making this for me!

Now I have a beautiful quilt for the bonus room and one for the living room. They have come in handy with all the cold weather we have been having! These quilts are a constant reminder of love... love from my families and love from my God!

Here is a pic of my silly man again! :)

I will be back later to post some cards! It is a beautiful day here so we have been a little busy! I hope to catch up with you all tonight... or at least... start catching up!

Peace and Love!

I love you Margaret! :) Thanks for loving me enough to spend all of that time making me such a beautiful quilt! :) You have a special place in my heart (not just because of the quilt) but... you already know that! :)

New! New! New!

I actually made a couple of new cards last night! Woo Hoo! Came home from my SU workshop and brought out the sewing machine for another try! You can tell my sewing isn't perfect BUT after many many previous attempts... these are the first two that I felt okay going ahead and using! They were actually my only two attempts last night so... go me! Maybe I have finally figured out how to sew... Thanks Sarah! :) Next attempt ... I will try to just rotate my paper around and sew all the way around without taking it out. I hope it will look much better! I hope! :)

I also played with my new SU Bird punch!! Love that thing!

Sarah is a friend of mine and is an awesome sewing teacher! One of these cards I made just for her so... now, Sarah, you know what your Thank you card looks like! Ha! And... you will finally get it!

Sarah got a group of women together, at her house, the weekend before my surgery and all of the ladies worked together to make me a beautiful quilt. I will add a picture of it later. Once Michael gets home ... I will get that picture made and post it (and email them to you, Sarah... finally)! Such a sweet thing to do! I will never be able to express my appreciation! :)

Okay... here are the pics! Michael got home as the sun was setting so ... may have to try again tomorrow! But for now... here is a shot of the front, back (which has handwritten verses and hand drawn flowers) and then my silly husband wanted me to take a pic of him! :)

Anyway... I hope you are all having a great Friday! Sun is shining here and it is 50 degrees... feels almost like summer after the weather we have been having! Loving it! :)

Carver and I went to Pump It Up this morning and now he is officially worn out and is napping! I am worn out too but there is no nap for a stay at home mommy! Too many clothes to wash and iron! :)

Peace and Love!

March/April 2010 Paper Crafts

Today on the Paper Crafts blog, they listed the winners of World Card Making Day! I am very excited about being one of the winners! This is my card that they chose! I sent in one card for each category!

The winners were published in the March/April 2010 issue of Paper Crafts.

I will spare you all of the details (for once) about how I found out. :) Let's just say... I never got an email and didn't find out until I got the package of goodies in the mail the day before Thanksgiving! With everything else going on in my life at that time... it was a much needed gift from God! :) I think I didn't find out the way others did about being a winner (by email ... earlier) because God knew what I was fixing to be facing and He wanted to give me a surprise in the middle of it all! God is so Good to me!!

So... I am off to clean! I thought I would go ahead and post this while PC had it on their blog!

Hope you guys have a great day! Peace and Love! :)

BTW... don't forget about the current EBTKS sketch challenge that is going on! You don't want to miss out on the chance to win a couple of awesome stamp sets!

More Bucket Cards

Hello! My name is Kelley Eubanks and I am a tired crafter!

I am sleepy and I am just tired! So... nothing new from me this week! More bucket cards to show! Can you believe that I have 24 more cards (including the ones I show on this post) to share out of my bucket? Seems like I have posted 20 already! Anyway....

I did make some Thank you cards so I could finally finish up sending out the thank you's to everyone from my surgery stuff! I will show those later. Now I just need to sleep for a whole day so I can function long enough to write in them! :) I have written a lot of Thank you's and still have a lot to write! I am a blessed person! I hate that it has taken me so long to finish them!

So... before I get to the cards... I got to spend some more time with Winter and her family Tuesday night! Usually Winter and I talk over email after midnight... this time... we got to chat in person until almost 2am! :) Winter is a night owl like myself!

Michael and I went to watch some of the teenagers play basketball Tuesday night so when I got home, I headed over to where Winter and her family are staying! I didn't get there until 10pm and I got home around 2am! So... now you see why I am so tired! :) My own fault... I know but ... it was so worth it! I really enjoyed getting to spend time with Winter and her wonderful family!

I also found out yesterday that I won Paige's 600th post blog candy! Woo Hoo! I am so pumped about all of the Paige creations that I will soon own! :) That girl is talented and so sweet! Paige... if you read this... Thank you again!

Still Cleaning Up The Bucket!

Here are several cards that have yet to be posted!

I really need to find time to work on some new cards but until then... I will keep posting some old ones!

The mojo is just not flowing these days! I really think I need some warm weather and sunlight! I am tired of the cold and snow! Just feeling kind of blah and like I stink at card making! I am not saying that to get sweet comments! So please don't feel like you have to cheer me up! :) Does anyone else ever feel like they just suck? For lack of better terminology? That is just how I feel right now and I just need to snap out of it!

I think it is because I seem to be stuck in the Clean and Simple category of card making! Not that there is anything wrong with CAS... I love CAS... I would just like to be good at making cards that are not CAS! Anyway... enough whining! :) I am really not depressed... I promise... just sharing my thoughts... as usual! :) I will snap out of it!

Even though I don't have my 'monthly friend' visit anymore... do you think that I can still have the moodiness that goes along with it? I mean... I still have my ovaries?!?! Okay... did I share too much? You guys know all of this anyway so... it isn't like I am telling you something new or that is a secret! :) Maybe I am just moody and I can't blame it on that anymore! :)
