A Few More Baby Projects

It is Monday!! Woo Hoo!! I kid... I kid!

I love being a stay at home mom not only because I love being able to be with my son all day but I don't have those Monday blues! I still remember dreading Monday when I had to go back to work! One day I will be there again! Until then.... I just feel for all of you 'working gals'! So ... for all of you.... I am sorry it is Monday but I am glad that you are still here to see another Monday! It could always be worse!

Wow... this is going to be a long post! I can already tell! :) Click away now! :)

So... before I get to the baby projects I would like to say that I am sorry that I am such a bad blog reader! I have been for a while now! If you have followed me for a while... you know all of the inner struggles I have had with time management/boundaries this year (my first year of blogging)! I am happy to say that I am over a lot of that (I think)... as far as being so hard on myself... but I do want you to know that I do want to come visit you and I will hopefully soon! I love all of my blog friends and I have some new regular visitors that I am anxious to start following! I notice when I don't blog hop often enough... I seem to lose my mojo! I can't blog hop everyday and I am okay with that now but it helps my personal mojo when I see all of your creations! Leaves me feeling inspired to stamp!

My excuse as of late is that I am totally addicted to Facebook! I put off joining for this very reason but I couldn't put it off any longer! :) I spend a lot of my 'alone time' at night on Facebook and haven't even crafted a lot since my surgery because of it! I seriously need to start making a schedule for myself! And in that schedule... I need to include sleep! I am tired of these purple bags under my eyes... although.... I am loving purple right now! :)

Okay.... I told you this was going to be a long post! :)

Let's get to the projects! These are a few that didn't get picked for the last PC call!

Still no card

but maybe I will post one later on! :)

Just wanted to post real quick and say again "Thank You" for the prayers and well wishes!

The surgery took 4 hours. Not really sure how long it was suppose to take but I know it went much longer than expected. Apparently that cyst was attached to a lot more than my ovary so they had to take more time getting it out.

I got home sometime last night and slept pretty much all night until around 9am. I feel really good. A little sore but other than that.... very blessed to be feeling good!

I still have one ovary so I am thrilled about that.... I think! :) The doc knew that I didn't want to do this again so I feel like he was pretty confident it was going to be okay or he would have gone ahead and taken that one too. He said it looked great so... that is good news!

Still waiting a few days for the lab report to see if everything is malignant or benign but we are praying it is benign! And... I am not going to worry about that! :)

Okay... well ... I think I am actually going to get out some this morning. Michael and I are going to go get little man. He was with my parents Thursday night and my in-laws last night! I miss him!

Thank you again for everything!! Love you all!

Just a Thank you... no card

Hope everyone is having a great Thursday!

I just wanted to post and say Thank you for everything! The prayers.... the sweet and encouraging comments... the friendships... and the sweet comments on my cards!

I had planned to schedule a few posts but I am just going to go ahead and let myself off the hook for that! I also had hoped to get caught up with each of you/your blogs and that has not happened either! I had hoped to reply back to emails and well... you get the picture! :) I am sorry!

I appreciate your continued prayers for my procedure tomorrow and for drinking that yuck stuff tonight! :)

I hope to be back at it and can accomplish my to do's as far as blog/craft world in just a couple of days! In the meantime... I just wanted to say Thank you! I want you to know that I am blessed to know each and every one of you and this wonderful world of craft/blog friends has just been more of a blessing in my life than I can communicate with words! But... I am sure you all understand and hopefully have had the same experience!

Hugs and Kisses! Peace and Love!

Talk to you all very soon! :)

An Apology

Okay... you guys are going to know now exactly how big of a worry wart that I am if you don't already know that!

I was cleaning up C's room before putting him in bed and I felt the need to make a formal apology!

No comment or anything like that triggered this... this is just one of those 'duh moments'! One of those moments that God said "Kelley!!!"!!

In my previous post I made a comment along the lines of "if you are a mother... you can understand how I feel" and I am so sorry for saying that!

Before I had Carver... I wasn't sure if I would be able to have a child. It wasn't so 'easy' to get pregnant!

When I would read things or would have people to say things to me like what I just wrote... it would hurt me. I always felt like people thought I was clueless about motherhood or loving a child because I didn't have one of my own and that was definitely not the case AT ALL! I had nieces and nephews and other family that I would willing lay down my life for in a second!!

I could go on for hours ( you guys know me... ) but I won't! I just want to say that I can't believe that I said that and I for sure don't believe that you have to be a mother to understand or to even know how to be a good mom! I took notes for years from watching family and friends! I was a mother way before I had my own child!

I try to remember how I felt about certain things and I try hard not to make people feel like I felt!

I can't believe that I am doing another blog post just to apologize. You may think I am crazy! :) I want to go back and just delete that sentence out of my post but in case it did offend someone who already read it... I want to make sure you know that I am sorry! Love you all!

Halloween Card and Tag and an Update

Hello! Hope you are having a great Friday!

I am going to try really hard not to be negative in this post so I am going to keep it as short as possible! It has been 'one of those days' the past two days! Michael has been out of town since Saturday on mission trip and the last 2 days Carver has really acted ugly and I am ashamed to admit but... so have I! It has just been one very long week.

Anyway.... let me get to the update real quick. I went for my ultrasound yesterday. I have not heard officially from the doctor yet but the tech went ahead and told me that the cysts were bigger. So... I know the surgery will happen next Friday! So... that is that. :)

I appreciate all of the prayers and I ask that you keep em coming! :) What I dread the most is having to drink that nasty gallon of stuff the night before. I have a very weak stomach for that sort of thing. I couldn't drink it all the last time and I am worried that since I already know how it is... that I won't get much of it down this time. Anyway... I know I have to but if I start throwing it up... it isn't working anyway. So... if you could also pray about that for me.... I would greatly appreciate it! Yuck! :)

I wanted to post something crafty today. I haven't been very crafty the past couple of weeks. I have not made hardly anything... not compared to 'normal'. Knowing that this surgery was coming up... I have been working hard on the house cleaning, etc and getting other things taken care of that need to be taken care of in case I am 'down' longer than expected! :) Anyway... here is a card and a tag that I made a while ago for a PC call.

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics Text Style and Spooky Sweets by Papertrey
Paper - Kraft by Papertrey
Ink - Tuxedo Black by Tsukineko, Orangerie by Superior, Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger
Other - Lily White Doodlebug Jewel, Natural String by May Arts,  Pumpkin Face punch by EK Success, SU Corner rounder and sponge, Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz by Tsukineko

Supplies:
Stamps - Jar by Inkadinkado, Polka Dot Basics and Simple Alphabet by Papertrey
Paper - Clearly Creative Cardstock and Kraft by Papertrey, Pink Paislee Twlight Collection - Eclipse
Ink - VersaMark and Tuxedo Black by Tsukineko, Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger
Other - Black and White emboss powders by Superior, True Black buttons by Papertrey, Natural String by May Arts, Old Olive Ribbon by SU, Tiny Tag punch by SU

I have one more prayer request. The most important one! I took C to the doc today because his ear is hurting. It wasn't a big deal... he just got some ear drops. But... I noticed a few weeks ago... a spot on his iris that was a lighter brown than his dark brown eyes. The doc (by text) didn't think it was anything to worry about and just wanted me to show it to him the next time we came in. Since we came in today, I showed it to him. He still isn't very concerned but he went ahead and tried to contact one of his ophthalmologist friends. He couldn't get him but talked to a nurse who said we should make C an appt. just to make sure. So... we have to wait A MONTH to go to this appt.!! If you could please please please pray that it is nothing and that our little boy is going to be fine... I would really appreciate it! If you are a mother... you can understand how I am feeling right now! On top of everything else and then I feel like I have to worry about this for a month to find out! I want to know now!! I am going to try not to worry but when it is your child... how can you not? Anyway....

This post was way too long! Like I said... it has just been a long week!!

Thanks for listening and praying! I hope you have a fab weekend!

Peace and Love!

A Card and An Update

Happy Wednesday! Just wanted to post real quick with a card and an update!

Above is the card..... below is the update! :)

As of right now... I have a surgery scheduled on Friday the 15th to remove one of my ovaries. It is suppose to be laproscopic (not sure if I spelled that correctly) so I should go home the same day. The plan is to remove the one ovary but both of these could change during the procedure depending on different things! Anyway... I am hopeful that it will all work out the way it is planned! It would mean that I still have one ovary so no hormones would be needed!

My oncologist was trying to schedule my surgery for Monday but I wanted to have one more ultrasound just to make sure the cyst has not gotten smaller. It has been a month since my last one. Doc doesn't think this is likely and honestly...  neither do I but I would rather make sure before we go a cuttin! :) I know my God and I know that if He chooses... He can make them disappear! If He doesn't want me to have the surgery then they will be gone. If He does... things will still be the same. Either way... I know He is in control! I just think it is only reasonable to check once more before we do surgery. If they were to be smaller then Doc said we could hold off and see how it goes so.... heck yeah... lets check please! :) I should have the ultrasound Thursday so I will know the results of that by Monday at the latest!

Anywho!! I have really had a great day today! My spirits and my thoughts are good! I want to thank you again for the prayers! I have had such a peace about all of this from the beginning. When I started getting a little nervous... I asked for prayers and boy ... did it all go away! Of course waiting is not my thing so I have hated that part of it but... it is what it is! Couldn't do anything about that! I know that my friends and family are praying for me. I know that ... because I can feel it!! Thank you! :)

I will keep the blog updated with info as I know. I am sure you guys are as tired of my 'drama' as I am... if you have been visiting me for the last year anyway! :) This is the easiest way to let concerned friends and family know the latest. I hate talking on the phone! :) Thanks for hanging in there with me and loving me through all the drama! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Peace and Love!

September Scrapbook Trends Publication

Happy Monday!

I thought that today I would share a card that I had published in the September issue of Scrapbook Trends.

Sorry that the picture is bad! It is dark and my card is leaning! Hmmm... surprised they picked it now that I think about it! :)  Glad they did though! I just searched my flickr and sure enough... not a better picture! Oh well... again... sorry!

I hope everyone had a fab WCMD on Saturday! I ended up joining Facebook so that is what I have done most of the weekend during 'Kelley time'! It has been a lot of fun seeing some people that I haven't seen in a while on there! Not to mention seeing all of my crafty peeps in a new location as well! :)

I did make one thing (well 2 but one of them I am not counting... didn't like it) on Saturday night. It was for a pub call so I guess I can't share that right now!

Since I spent a lot of time on Facebook I have neglected my google reader and my emails. I hope to get back on track this week.

I wanted to say "Thank You" to all of you who are praying for me! I cannot tell you the weight that was lifted when I asked for prayer and how much better my day and weekend have been because of it! God is soooo good to me and I know He listens when you guys come to Him on my behalf! I have seen the mighty works that His hands have done in my life! I feel very loved and very blessed!

I go to the doc tomorrow and I will update my blog as soon as possible when I get back home!

Thank you again for the prayers! You guys are THE BEST! :)

Peace and Love!

Happy World Card Making Day

Woo Hoo! I love World Card Making Day!

It never fails that my husband is gone on this day! Which means I have a 3 year old all day. Which means I don't get to craft! :(

Last year my parents watched little man for me so Courtney and I could craft all day! This year... we are spending some time with my parents at the park so I won't get to craft until Carver is in the bed tonight! :(

Makes me sad but... I will be wondering what everyone else is doing all day and I hope there will still be some fun stuff to get into after 8pm! :)

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I think in celebration of this day that I will finally take the plunge and join facebook! I have put it off as long as I can but I think there is too much fun stuff that goes on over there and it is about time that I joined in on it! That is how I am going to celebrate alone this year! :) Facebook and late night crafting!

Peace and Love!

Enjoy The Moment and Prayer Request

 Happy Friday!

I wanted to share this little card today! It is so simple but I just love it!

Well... I can't chat too much because Michael took Carver to ride his bike and I have lots to do today!

I do have a prayer request. I don't think I have mentioned this on my blog yet. I am starting to feel a little nervous so I think now is the appropriate time to share.

I have to go back to my oncologist on Tuesday. I have had some cysts on my ovaries that are not going away or getting any smaller. My gyno wants me to go back to see my oncologist who did my surgery almost a year ago. I have been waiting about a month for this appointment. From talking to my gyno... it seems that I will have to have some sort of procedure. Either to just drain them or to have my ovaries taken out. Keeping my ovaries or taking them out both come with risks and things that I will just have to learn to live with so either way is not great with me. Anyway.... I know that God is in control but I sure could use some prayers!  So... if you guys could just say a few prayers for me...prayers of peace... I would greatly appreciate it! :) More than I can ever say! :)

Hope you have a great Friday!

Peace and Love!
