Well... Carvers birthday was on the 14th and I forgot to post his card so.... that is what I am sharing today!

Hope you are all having a great Monday so far!

I am enjoying scheduling a weeks worth of posts one night on the weekend! It is really helping with my stress level! :) It is one thing that I don't have to think about everyday! I don't know why I didn't do this before!

The only downside is that I feel like my posts are a little more generic than before but the good news for you is that you don't have to listen to a lot of rambling anymore! :) Unless I feel compelled to add a rambling post here and there! :)

Thanks... as always... for visiting! :)

Peace and Love!

Paper - Tangerine Tango by SU, White by Papertrey
Ink - London Fog by Tsukineko, Fountain Pen by Ranger
Other - SU corner rounder, dimensionals and Tangerine Tango marker, Tangerine Doodlebug Jewel

Hello... Happy Monday!

I was inspired by a photo frame of mine to make another card for the Moxie Fab Gray is the New Black challenge!

The frame sits on my desk and I stare at it all day long. Carver stole it and wanted it in his room for a few days but I got it back. I bought him a more manly frame that matched his room and put a picture in it! :) I wanted my frame/picture back. After all... I have had the frame... pictureless... for about a year! I finally got a picture in it about 2 weeks ago and wasn't about to let him keep it! Ha!! I asked him why he wanted it in his room and he said "because I love you!"!! Awwww...

Anyway...  here is my 'inspiration piece' !! :)

I scheduled all of my posts for last week and I totally forgot to mention that this is the last week that Winter will be accepting cards for the St. Judes card drive! Winter has some awesome prizes lined up... as an added incentive to send some love to some sick kids! So... if you haven't sent her any Valentines Day cards yet... hop to it! :) Here is the link for all the info! Right HERE! :)

Happy Saturday!

One of my goals for this year is to participate in more challenges! Well... more of the Moxie Fab challenges to be specific! I hope that will lead to me getting back into more challenges in general!

I made this card for the Moxie Fab The Gray is The New Black challenge!!

I LOVE gray!! It started when gray and yellow were a thing... I think a couple of years ago. Then it was gray and orange... now I love gray and every color! :) I knew I wanted to make a gray and yellow card since that is what started my love of gray!

Well... that is it for me today! My little man is sick with the flu and he is taking a late nap. I need to go wake him up but I wanted to get this posted today! :)

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope you are having a great day!

I have decided that when I have projects to post that I am going to pick a night to schedule a few posts. I am going to try this method as a way of being able to keep up my blog a little better but I won't feel the pressure to make time to sit and post everyday! I may have to throw a few posts in here and there when I feel like I just want to talk! :)

So... since I am scheduling the posts... they will probably be pretty generic and I just wanted to let you know! :) Maybe it will cut down on my rambling anyway! :)

Today I am sharing a tag that I made a while ago! I submitted it 2xs and it wasn't chosen so I am glad to be able to post it. I really like this tag! It is a big tag but I like it! :)

Winner of the Mini Albums

Happy Monday! I wanted to pop in and share the winner of my (little) giveaway. The winner is Scrappy Jackie!

I only had 9 comments/people in the drawing so I let C draw a name out of a bowl. I took pics and had planned to post those but I  have decided to give up on that idea! It is snowing here and we have spent a lot of time just being lazy or playing in the snow today! I am not even going to post a card! :) I may come back later and add the pics... depends on if I can get motivated!

Hope you guys have a wonderful day! Scrappy Jackie... email me at with your home address and I will get those out to you as soon as I can make it to the post office! :)

Peace and Love!

St. Jude's Card Drive

Happy Saturday! I don't usually post on the weekends anymore but I meant to post this yesterday. We had some good friends over last night and then I got a little sidetracked when I eventually made it to my computer!

Anyway.... the beautiful, talented, and wonderful Winter Sims is hosting another Valentines Card Drive for St. Judes this year! Last years card drive was such a huge success that Winter had enough cards to send here to TN for all of the children at Vanderbilt Children Hospital as well!

If you are interested in making and sending Valentines cards for some sick children and being entered into some awesome giveaways... see Winter's post HERE for all the details. Winter already has some great sponsors for the drive and I know she is working to get more along the way!

Okay... well... that is all for me today! We are having a lazy day around here. Michael and Carver are laying around on the couch watching Nemo! I am tempted to take a trip to the scrapbook store (alone) but part of me just wants to lay around with them and enjoy the day! Not sure yet which one I will do!

Watch out... Kelley's preaching!!

And I am not really sure what will come out!

I am a little bit angry right now and I am also very very sad!

I just read on a lady's blog a little bit about a spiritual journey that she is going through. A lady who is battling cancer! The part that makes me angry is a comment that I read telling this woman that she doesn't have to believe in God... just believe in a higher power! Who do you think that power is lady?

It makes me angry because this woman who is at the beginning of a spiritual journey is being told that she doesn't need to believe in God! I pray that she doesn't listen to the 'wisdom' of the lady who left the comment!

The comment itself makes me sad because the lady who left it is obviously not a believer!

There is a God! If you don't know that there is a God then it is because you don't know his son, Jesus!

God sent his son, Jesus, to live on this earth and die for our sins. God is so perfect that He cannot even look at sin. God sent Jesus to die for our sins... to be a living sacrifice for me and for you so that He could see us! We are sinners! We will always be sinners! God sent his perfect son to be the sacrifice offered up on our behalf. If we believe in Jesus and accept His gift of salvation then God can see us through Jesus! Only through Jesus! So if you haven' t accepted Jesus' gift/sacrifice then no... God can not see you and you probably don't know there is a God!

We were created to bring joy and praise to God! Even us Christians think that God created us so He can bring us joy! He created us and He demands our adoration and praise! He deserves it! This life is not about us! None of us! This life is about dying to ourselves and giving our lives to God and doing His will. WHATEVER that means!!

We are so concerned about ourselves and our families and our futures... if we will be able to retire... if we will have enough money to buy that new fancy car or go on that big trip! We just don't get it! IT IS NOT ABOUT US!! It took me having cancer and being afraid that I would die to really get that! I pray that is not what it takes for you. I think it is really easy to say but not really easy to 'get'! We still care way too much about ourselves!

Why am I on a rant about this?

I feel so strongly about all of this because of what I have learned and gone through this past year and a half! God is my joy and my peace! I have been a Christian most of my life but like so many other Christians... I just didn't get it! I still had Kelley as my #1 priority! I still had my family as my #1 or #2 priority (depending on the day)! And I still do sometimes! I will never be perfect at anything!! God protected me and He turned my situation into something that would glorify Him! And you know what... I am happier than I have ever been! It may not appear that way on the outside sometimes ( I am human and not perfect) but I cannot describe the joy that I have in my heart! I have a peace because I have said "yes" to God. I know that He knows what is best and I want what He wants. Even if it means something not so good for me. I know that even then... it will be what is best! And I am okay with that! Because I know that this life is not about me!

I want everyone to feel what I feel! I feel so strongly that unless you feel what I feel... you can't be happy or at peace! I guess I thought I was but I didn't know what true joy and peace were until I died to myself! I LOVE MY FATHER!! He is the perfect Father who knows what is best! There is no greater joy that can be found than in his arms! I want to be right there all the time!

If you haven't accepted Jesus sacrifice then I KNOW that there is something missing in your life! I pray that if this is you and you are reading this that you will reach out to someone (even me) and find Jesus and take His offer!

If you are reading this and you are a Christian but are still too concerned with yourself, your family, money... whatever it is... then I hope that you will pray for God to show you how to put Him first! I hope that you will ask God to help you get where He wants you to be.

I am still praying that myself! The journey has been rough at times but God didn't promise that it would be easy. He did promise to be there with us and He has never let me down! He never will!

Paper Crafts Jan/Feb Publication

Happy Thursday!

I wanted to share one of the projects that I had published in the awesome Paper Crafts Magazine for the Jan/Feb issue!

I love these little treat bags and I love that Papertrey is making these stamp sets for all seasons! One day I would like to own them all! They are perfect to make treat bags/cards for kids! I have dreams of being 'that mom' who makes all sorts of goodies/cool stuff for the kids in Carver's classroom! :)

Thank you all for your sweet comments yesterday! I have been dealing with the time management issue since I started blogging and full force card making! I really hope that I can find a good balance! It is just a hard thing for me! I don't spend a ton of time on it anymore but the thoughts are still in my head... especially when there is a Paper Crafts call! LOL! Anyway... enough on that for the day!

Don't forget that if you want a chance to win a few mini albums... see this post and leave me a comment!

Thanks for visiting!

Peace and Love!

Thanks Chickie and a Giveaway!

Stamps - Handwritten Notes by Papertrey
Paper - Raspberry Fizz and True Black by Papertrey, Hambly Couture
Ink - Tuxedo Black by Tsukineko
Other - SU dimensionals, Doodlebug Jewel

Hello!! I wanted to pop in today and share a card that I made a while ago!

I also wanted to have a little giveaway! I have a few mini albums that I have acquired over the past couple of years that I will not use and I thought that I should give them away here on my blog! So... see the picture below and if you are wanting to own these albums... leave me a comment and I will draw a random winner sometime on Monday, Jan 10th!

In the meantime... over the next week or two... I plan to post a few cards that I have not posted here yet. I will also post a few cards that I have had published recently! AND.... while I am doing that... I am going to be praying about what this year is going to be about for me! Any of you that have been around for a while know that I am in a constant struggle with time management and guilt! :) I am going to stay focused on getting my home in order (organized, purged, and cleaned) over the next couple of weeks. It shouldn't take that long but with an almost 4 year old under me all day.... well... it just does! :)

I want to focus on some life issues and habits that I want to change this year! I love making cards and blogging and submitting and blog hopping! But... one of my goals this year is to sleep more! I want to have more energy to play with Carver everyday and I want to get on some sort of teaching/learning schedule with C this year. My head has become too busy with thoughts of things that I 'need' to do like blogging, making cards, blog hopping, keeping up with emails, etc! And honestly... those aren't things that I 'need' to do! What I need to do is sleep and play with my son and start preparing him for school... I only have a couple of years left (he will be 6 when he starts)! I don't want to wake up in a couple of years after he has started school and regret wasting time and energy on things for me when I could have spent more of it on him and Him! He is my only one... ya know.... this time is so precious!

So... okay... enough rambling! Just letting you know what my thoughts are as we are in the start of a new year! My prayer is that God will be able to use me in the blog/card making world this year. My prayer is that I do whatever it is that He wants me to do and that I do it willingly and that I will give up this thing that I love so much if He wants my time and attention elsewhere!

Until I feel like I know for sure what I am suppose to be doing... I will be posting the cards that I mentioned before! Away from the computer... I will be working my tail off to accomplish my goals around my home and praying for direction! I pray that I will finally find this year that I can 'do it all' and do it wonderfully with God's help! That is my goal but we will see what God has in mind! :)

Love you all and thanks for listening! :)

Peace and Love!

Happy New Year!!!

Stamps - Mega Mixed Messages by Papertrey
Paper - My Minds Eye
Ink - Tsukineko and Ranger Distress
Other - Hambly rub-on, SU corner rounder, Prima Pearls

Wow... what a year, huh? :) It has been a great one and I am really excited about the year to come!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and now... a Happy New Year!

My hubby has been off this week so I haven't posted like I had planned so I came up with plan B! Plan B is that I may or may not be taking off for a little bit! I had hoped to get a lot done this week around my house and I have but... I should have known it would have taken me longer than a week to get my house in order! :) I was hoping to start out the new year with a daily post but... plans change! :(

After Christmas, I always feel the urge to purge, organize, and clean! With all the new items in the house it is really a must! Especially in the toy department and this year... in the kitchen! My in-laws got me 2 whole sets of Rachael Ray pots for Christmas (Woo Hoo) so I have worked most of this week on rearranging/purging/organizing my kitchen. On top of washing each and ever pot, pan, utensil, etc, etc!! :) I am almost done with the purging/organizing and then the next step is the cleaning! :) Anywho... just giving you a little update on where I may be if I am not around for a week or so! I am really determined to get everything done at the start of the new year!! Once I am done with all of that then I will start paying more attention to my blog!

Okay.... well... I guess I will quit rambling now! :)

One more thing that I want to record for me.... Cath at Moxie Fab named one of my challenge winning cards in her Top Ten Trendiest of 2010! Woo Hoo!! What a way to end the year!! :)

Thanks for visiting! I hope to be back here sooner rather than later! :)

Peace and Love!
