Be Strong And Take Heart

Stamps - Faith by Unity, Background Basics Text Style by Papertrey
Paper - White by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger, London Fog by Tsukineko
Other - Ladybug Marker by Tsukineko, Metal Heart by Colorbok

My two main men are off getting some drywall at the moment so I thought it would be a great time to get a post up! I love this card! I think mainly because I love that verse!

When my boys get home, Michael is going to start cutting out and replacing the ceiling (just part of it hopefully) in our bonus room. Back in the spring we had some wind damage to the side of our house and it left a hole for a sweet (not) little squirrel family to move in and we think... have babies. After finally getting rid of the squirrels and fixing the hole where nothing else can get in... we are getting around to cleaning up their mess! Fun stuff!! I see lots of drywall dust in my future! :)

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Oh... by the way... I was thinking of switching to word press or something like that (if it is free) ... I would love to switch to something without having to pay a monthly fee. Anyone have any thoughts/opinions they would like to share? I don't know that I will actually switch but I am thinking about it!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

I hope you have had a great Friday and are looking forward to a great weekend!! :)

We have had a busy week... well... the hubby has had a busy week which means so did I!

We sat down as a family tonight to watch a movie before Carvers bedtime. We watched Babe and can I just say that it was one of the most strange movies I have ever seen! I was not a fan!!

Well... keeping it short and sweet! It is late! I have some 'work' to do. I am not sure you can call it work when it is something you love but nonetheless... I have some work to do! I am feeling a bit in a rut so I wanted to do something just for me first... playing along in this challenge!

Thanks for visiting!

Stamps - Monopack Gigi K by PSA Essentials, Retro Christmas Backgrounds by PCD
Paper - White and True Black by PTI
Ink - JB Seed Packet and Fountain Pen by Ranger, Rose Bud by Tsukineko
Other - EK Success and Marvy Circle punches, SU dimensionals and corner rounder, Kaiser rhinestone, Black Offray Ribbon

Like my blog post title? I couldn't think of anything else! :)

I hope you have had a great day! I think I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I had one of those days where I had to apologize to everyone in my house. I was an ill butt most of the day. Loving my friend, Kim, today (and everyday). After talking to her... I was in a much better mood and able to apologize to both boys! I had already apologized to the little one once. It is always easier for me to apologize to the little one than it is the big one! Anyway... we had a much better night and I was able to control myself! :) Luckily I have a forgiving husband and little boy! And most importantly... a forgiving God who shows me grace on a daily basis!!

Thanks for stopping by!! :)

All Things Unity #36

Stamps - Decadent Pear by Samantha Walker from Unity Stamp Co., Everyday Expressions by The Paper Studio
Paper - True Black and White by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger, Real Red by Stampin Up
Other - Stampin' Up! Ribbon and Dimensionals, Copic Markers

Happy Tuesday! I let Monday get away from me without posting!! Shame on me!

Today I wanted to show a card that I have to admit I made a little while ago and have not posted yet. It fits perfect with the All Things Unity #36 Challenge which you can read about HERE!

I can't believe that summer is almost over... as far as the kids going back to school. Carver will start weekday education in just a few weeks. This summer has flown by. I finally gave up on making a summer to do list when I realized that we just have 4 weeks left before Carver starts school. I think I waited a little too late! :) We have been so busy but I can't really tell you what all we have done! Except that we have been hot!! HOT HOT HOT!!

Okay... well... I have convinced little man to give me a few moments to reply to emails and get this post up so I had better keep the rambling to a minimum! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Oh... one more thing before I go! If you haven't heard about the PSA Essentials You Tube contest... read about it HERE... you still have a few days to participate and there is a HUGE prize package at stake!!

Paper - Vintage Cream and Aqua Mist by Papertrey
Ink - Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger
Other - May Arts Ribbon and Twine, Papertrey Button, Stampin' Up Dimensionals, K & Co. Ephemera Pack Die Cuts

I wanted to give the Moxie Fab Fanatical About Botanical Challenge another try! I don't have a lot of life like stamp images but ran across this die cut when I was looking through my stash o' stuff!

This is not my usual style but I am wanting to try new things. I would love to be good at every style but it isn't going to happen if I don't practice! :)

I thought this tag would be great to use on a wedding present!

I hope you have a great Saturday! Thanks for visiting!! :)

Well... I decided that tonight I would make another card for the Paper Smooches challenge... HERE... using one of the color groups. I ended up making two... as you can see! :) I have been trying to not spend as much money on stamps so I was limited to one PS stamp set (which is why I would really love to win some). I have two but one is just sentiments. THEN... I read the rules again and it said you could use The Kim Hughes Collection stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms so I whipped out my Heart Warmers set. I figured now was as good a time as any to get started on Christmas cards!

Well... I am going to keep it short and sweet! I am going to try and make a card for the current Moxie Fab challenge before bed! I am digging getting into challenges again! It makes my heart happy!!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Stamps - Vegtastic by Paper Smooches
Paper - Kraft, Vintage Cream, Pure Poppy and New Leaf by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen and Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger
Other - EK Success punch, May Arts String, Doodlebug Jewel, Stampin' Up! Dimensionals

I have been wanting to get back into participating in challenges for a while now. I am happy to say that I now have my light tent/lights all set up in my craft room. This is my first card... probably since I have been blogging... that I have made and less than 10 mins later... I have it posted! Can you say PUMPED? Cuz that is what I am! :) So pumped in fact that I just posted about an hour ago and instead of holding this to post later... I had to post it right away! :) I am silly... I know!

So... I have had these cute Paper Smooches stamps for about a month now and I am happy to say that I finally played with them. I have the Sentiment Sampler as well and have used it a few times but this was my first time playing with Vegtastic!

You can see the details of the challenge HERE! I used one of the sketches for my card!

Well... since I rambled on so much about an hour ago... really nothing left to say! :) Except...

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Matthew 11:28

Stamps - Fast and Fabulous by Stampin' Up!, Matthew 11:28 by Stampabilities
Paper - Pure Poppy, True Black and White by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger and Real Red by Stampin' Up!
Other - Stampin' Up! Dimensionals, My Minds Eye Rhinestones

I have almost let 2 days get away from me without posting! I have been on a mission around here. I am in the purging/organizing mode again. I have gotten a lot done but still have lots to do! It feels good though! Carver and I went through his toys yesterday to get rid of some of the toys that he doesn't play with anymore. Usually Carver doesn't want to part with anything. Once I promised him that we would go get this game (board game type thing) that he has been wanting... he was throwing things out right and left! :) I was really proud of him for how easily he let things go and how he really thought about if it was something he ever plays with or will ever play with. He got rid of everything that I would have gotten rid of for him. I was proud. Granted... I did bribe him but he still did really well!  I have 3 bags of toys/books to donate. I also took a bag and a half (the big trash bags) of stuff to Goodwill today. Most of that was Carvers stuff as well... clothes, etc! I love getting stuff out of my house! I swear it multiplies while I sleep!

Okay... so lets talk about the card!

I have had the privilege of making cards for the Quilt Ministry at our church. For those of you who don't know this story already... the Quilt Ministry was born out of a sweet friend, Sarah,  being obedient to God and making a quilt for me when I was going through my cancer stuff. Sarah felt that God was telling her to make a quilt for me. It was right around Thanksgiving when everyone was busy and she didn't want to do it because she didn't think she could get it done. God wasn't having that and so Sarah called up some other sweet ladies/friends and they spent a Saturday making me the most beautiful quilt. Thus... the Quilt Ministry was born and those ladies work long and hard to give beautiful quilts to people/families who are going through a difficult time or a joyous time (new baby).

Since then... I have been able to stamp a card that they give away along with the quilt. I have some cards that are full of writing on the inside but plain white on the front/back. So... usually my cards are stamped and maybe I add a rhinestone. Pretty simple.

HOWEVER... this card was made especially for Sarah. Sarah found out a month or so ago that she has breast cancer and she started chemo this week. The quilt ministry ladies got together... without Sarah knowing... and made her a beautiful quilt. I made this card to go along with the quilt which they gave to her last Sunday.

So many beautiful things have come out of such an ugly situation in my life. The Quilt Ministry alone was worth everything I went through! I am sure God would have used someone else's situation to get the ministry going but I feel very blessed that He chose me! These ladies are blessing so many people with their beautiful quilts! If you wouldn't mind saying a prayer or two for Sarah... we would both appreciate it! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Rosetta Sympathy

Stamps - Rosettas by PSA Essentials, Think Big Favs #3 by Papertrey
Paper - White by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Brown Sugar by Ranger, L'Amour Red by Superior
Other - SU Corner Rounder, Kaiser Rhinestones, May Arts Natural String, Copic Marker

Happy Monday! I don't have a ton to ramble on about today! I just wanted to get the day started off with my blog post! I am trying to do better about posting each day of the week! So far so good! :) I think my new light box has given me a new motivation! Speaking of... I ordered a new light and a smaller cube. I am spending more money than I thought but I want it to be right. I think I need another light on the top of cube... shining down. Maybe just a smaller cube will help. I don't know! Okay... I guess I do have something to ramble on about! :)

I am still trying to decide what I want to get done today. I think I am going to see if I can talk little man into running some errands! We have been so exhausted around here... busy busy busy! Anyway....

Hope you have a wonderful Monday! Thanks for stopping by!!

With Sympathy

Stamps - Encompassed Grace by Samantha Walker from Unity
Paper - Kraft and Vintage Cream by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Seed Packet by Ranger, Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger, More Mustard by Stampin' Up!
Other - Stampin' Up! Corner Rounder, May Arts Natural Twine, Stampin' Up! Dimensionals, Rustic Wood Button by Papertrey

Happy Friday!! I am linking this card to the current All Things Unity challenge which is all about twine/ribbon and Unity of course!

Today is Carvers last day at camp and he only goes until noon! No big projects are planned today. The only thing I planned to do is get this post up.

I think I am going to organize Carvers craft/learning stuff. I am bad about getting things all put away and organized and then I will realize that we aren't really using something because it isn't in the appropriate spot so... then I have to move it to another room or drawer or cabinet!! My husband likes to say that he never knows where things are because I am constantly moving them! :) I say he just doesn't look! Anyway... I have all of Carvers craft/learning activities in the bonus room with his table but we just never go up there. I think they need to be back downstairs over his little desk in the kitchen. I need that stuff right in my face all day so I will remember to pull it out and make him do worksheets, etc! I don't think I could ever homeschool. Carver would never learn a thing!! :)

I hope you have an amazing weekend!! Thanks for visiting!!

Just Believe Card

Stamps - Background Builders: Hearts and Sweet Nothings by Wplus9 Designs
Paper - White by Papertrey
Ink - Landscape, Reflection Blue, Violette, Paris Lights, Orangerie and L'Amour Red by Superior, Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger, Rose Bud by Tsukineko
Other - Stampin' Up! Corner Rounder, Doodlebug Jewel

I wanted to get my post up today before I head out to pick up my little man!!! He has had a great time at camp this week and I have thoroughly enjoyed my alone time. I am slightly disappointed in the visible progress that I have made this week. It is a good reminder to me of what it will be like when Carver starts weekday education in a few weeks. I will have less time each day and only 3 days a week when he starts. So... I need to set reasonable goals for the day and not get stressed out about what I didn't get to!! I have done a pretty good job about that this week and I am proud of myself! :) I guess after a year and a half of just maintaining... I have grown accustomed to letting stuff go! :) Whew... sorry... I needed to vent! :) Apparently out loud! :)

I am showing a card that I made a while ago for a PC call. I forget which one! :)

I hope you are having a great day! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Feel Better Soon

Stamps - Claudine Hellmuth Studio Domestic Foam and Clear by Ranger, Healing Touch Sentiments by Papertrey
Paper - Kraft by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger, L'Amour Red by Superior
Other - Paint by Making Memories, Doodlebug Jewel, SU corner rounder

This is my 2nd post of the day! It has been a long time since I have done that!!!! And let me tell you why I am posting again today.... I can't stand having my last post up on top of my blog because of the pictures of the cards. I told you (if you read 3 posts ago) that I spent most of my day yesterday taking pictures of projects and editing. Well... I think I photographed 50 projects... at least! When I cleaned the photos off of my camera... I deleted 300+ pics. I think when I edited those 2 pictures... I was going cross eyed. :) AND if there are other ones like that... I will just not post them or get over it and post it anyway! I WILL NOT RETAKE ANYMORE PICTURES!! :) I am so done! Fresh start from here!! I love my light box and I am excited about the relationship that we are going to have!! :) With all newly made projects!! Peace!! :)

At the end of May I had the opportunity to teach a stamp class at the local scrapbook store! It was my first time ever teaching a class and I had a great time! I was sooooo nervous but it went really well (I think)!! I don't really think that teaching... at least... in that setting is right for me. I just didn't feel like the end results were worth the time I had spent on getting everything prepared. But... I am totally glad that I did it and stepped out of my comfort zone!

All of that to say that these two cards are 2 of 4 that we made in the class. I was trying to be a little less CAS than normal since people were actually going to be paying me. I also tried to use the products that were available for purchase in the store!

Well... I am posting this during my 'me time' today so I guess I had better get back to work. It will be time to pick up my fav 4 year old in a few!!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

PSA Essentials and Helmar

This week on the PSA Stamp Camp blog you can see creations using PSA Essentials and Helmar products. My project was featured today... you can see the post here.

I decided right away that I wanted to use my Monopack Gigi K set and Helmar dimensionals. I LOVE dimensionals. Twine, kraft, dimensionals and jewels are my favs! Other than stamps of course!

These came together really fast and were super easy to make. I am glad to have some non-sentiment cards in my collection!

Well... that is it for me tonight! I had dinner with a friend and it was a late but great night out. I spent my 2nd 'me' day photographing my cards/projects that I have not posted yet.... all of them... including the arsenal of holiday theme projects that I will eventually post. I wanted to retake them in my light box.... boy has that been a big job! I still have lots of editing to do on them! But... when I am done.... I will be done! Whew!!

Of course... some of them didn't turn out as I had hoped. I took them in a dark room but it was still daytime AND my camera battery was low. A lot of them I just said... that is good enough! But there were still a few that I will have to retake. So... the moral of this story is... I think cameras work better on a full battery and the light box shooting is best done at night when it is dark and you can turn all other lights off. At least it seems that way for me... because I am not great at working my camera! :)

Rambling is done! Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hope you have had a great Monday!

Carver had his first day of camp today and I had my first day of get stuff done time! It felt good! I was glad to go pick up my little man though! Then of course... about 2 hours later when he was losing his mind... I was past ready for his daddy to be home so I could have some more quiet/help! :) Carver is not the wind down type. When he is tired... he is extra hyper and LOUD!! Needless to say... by the time I picked him up from camp... he was already tired! :) But... I am one blessed momma! I love my boy!!

So... just wanted to share a couple of cards that I had made in the past month or so!

I also wanted to share about 2 ways to win some PSA Essentials goodies... you can check out the details HERE and HERE! I hope you check it out and win some stamps! :) We all need more stamps, right?

Thanks for stopping by!

Introducing Maxine

PSA Essentials newest release is a couple of Maxine stamp sets! They are so cute!! These are a few projects that I made using the stamps. I had to make something other than cards so I decided to make some office decor! You will have to excuse the huge Kelley face in the picture frame. I didn't take the time to get a picture printed before I mailed off my assignments. I printed the picture on paper off of my computer and I couldn't get a smaller picture to print. My computer genius husband was out of the country at the time so I had no help! :) So... a huge Kelley face it had to be!

You can see the PSA Stamp Camp post here

I hope you have had a great day! We had an awesome day of worship at church, we went to eat lunch at my parents to celebrate my brothers birthday, and then we went to watch Cars 2 with our church family. Oh yeah... and then we went to eat with some of our friends from church. I am one tired girl but I have a little adrenaline kicking because Carver starts day camp tomorrow. He will be at camp all week long. This will be the first time in a year and a half that I have several days in one week to work on projects and clean my house! I will miss him while he is gone but I have a ton of stuff to do that I have been putting off. I am excited to get some of that stuff knocked out!

Okay... well... I guess I will hush! I need to wash some clothes and some dishes to get ready for the week ahead! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps - Background Basics Text Style by Papertrey, Everyday Expressions by The Paper Studio, Happy Everything by Unity
Paper - Regal Rose by Stampin' Up!, Vintage Cream by Papertrey
Ink - Vintage Photo Distress by Ranger, Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger
Other - Stampin' Up! Markers, Dimensionals and Pearls, Labels 8 Nesties, Big Shot, May Arts Natural String

I was just informed by the sweet Savannah that this fits for the current All Things Unity challenge! Woo Hoo!! You can find the info on the challenge HERE!

Whew!! Today has flown by! I got to spend some time with my niece-in-law, Kayla, today! She is actually my nephews wife but I am not sure what the name is for that... pretty sure it is just my nephews wife but I like niece-in-law better... sounds more like I am claiming her as family! :)

Kayla wanted to come over and learn how to make some crafty stuff! We didn't get a whole lot accomplished but I think she was happy with what she made! I think she is going to be a crafter! It makes my heart happy.... I just wished she didn't live in another state so we could craft together!

After Kayla left, I spent time catching up on ironing clothes. We have a entire family picture scheduled for tomorrow. We are all wearing black tops and blue jeans. Our little family of 3 all have black converse to wear. I am excited to get some family shots of us. We have become known by a few people as the chuck family! They are a fairly new 'love' for me but I do love my chucks! I want some in every color!! Anyway... rambling!

Tonight I went to play bunco with some friends and had a great time! I don't get out a lot to hang out with friends. I am really a homebody but I am working on that! I always enjoy myself when I get out... I just enjoy being home too! My wonderful hubby has had Carver all day. I know Carver loves spending time with his daddy but I have missed him today! I don't like days that I don't get to see him much! But... it is good for them to get away and have some guy bonding time! :)

So... now that I have rambled on about my day! This tag is one that I made a very long time ago. I tend to make things to submit to Paper Crafts and if it doesn't get chosen the 1st time... I will usually hang onto it (if I really like it) to submit again. I have had several picked up the 2nd time around but it doesn't usually leave me with much that I love to post on here. I have decided to just post whatever and if I happen to have a project that I haven't posted yet that will work for a new call... great. If not... I will just make all new stuff! :) I am loving my light box/lights!! It makes me want to post all of my cards now so you can see how great they are in my new light box! LOL!! I think the light box actually helps my projects look better than they do in real life! :)

Wow... being around adults/women all day really makes me chatty! I will hush now!

Thanks for stopping by! :)

It's Your Day

Stamps - Boy Basics Simple Circles by Papertrey, Think Big Favs #2 by Papertrey
Paper - Basic Gray by SU, White by Papertrey
Ink - Jenni Bowlin Fountain Pen by Ranger, Sunflower, L'Amour Red, Reflection Blue and Orangerie by Superior
Other - SU dimensionals, SU corner rounder, Metallic Dots by JoAnn, Simple Circles Border Die by Papertrey, Big Shot

I got my new light box today!! Wooooooo Hoooooo!! I was so disappointed at first because I didn't think that one of the bulbs was working. Turns out that I just didn't have it screwed in the base tight enough. Thank you God for nudging me to try again! Looks like I will be calling the company back and telling them that it does work after all... I am just not very smart! :)

I, of course, wanted to use it right away so I took a picture of a card that I made a while ago. Looks like I may be retaking a lot of pics before I post them on my blog. They look so much better than the pics that I am able to get outside! Hopefully with time and more experience... I can get them to look even better!

Well... that's all from me today! Lots to do before bed! :) Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Crafts Publications

It has been a while since I shared any of my Paper Crafts publications so I thought would get caught up on that! I have been meaning to post everyday. I have this thing that I feel like I have to post in the morning. I am not quite sure why or when that started. I think that is why I go some days without posting. I just can't get a post up in the morning. When I was scheduling posts... I did better about posting but I didn't do a good job of 'talking' so I didn't end up liking that very much! Anyway... I have made a decision to quit worrying about what time I get a post up and just post something! :) I have lots of cards at this point that need to be posted! Whew... glad I got that off my chest! :)

This card is from the current Paper Crafts Stamp It Cards Vol 8.

This card is from the current Paper Crafts July/August issue.

Last but not least... this card was in the Paper Crafts May/June issue.

On a different note... I am totally excited because I am suppose to be getting a new light box/lights delivered tomorrow! I have been wanting one FOREVER. My sweet hubby bought me a portable light box a long time ago and the lights that go with it are just not what I need. They are really small and don't put out enough light. After reading this post, from Carly, I ordered what I needed. Carly did all the work for me... she told me what I needed and I didn't have to do the research to figure it out! :) I can't wait to play with it. I am hoping it makes things easier!

Okay... I guess I will hush now! Thanks for stopping by! :)

I didn't have any 4th of July cards to post today. I didn't make any to send out this year! But I did have this card that I made a month or so ago with the 4th of July in mind!

I hope you are enjoying your day today! We went to my aunt and uncles house for lunch and we are getting ready to go watch the big fireworks at Providence. Providence is a big shopping center right up the road from us. Every year they usually have live music and inflatables for the kids. The fireworks are shot right behind Dicks Sporting Goods which is right beside Target. We get there in time to get a decent parking spot and then we go shop in Target for snacks, etc! I look forward to it every year! I think July 4th is my favorite holiday.... right after Halloween! There is just something about Halloween! Maybe it is the fall air... maybe it is the pumpkins and all the orange!? I just love it!

Anyway.... I guess I am talkative today! I just woke up from a nap. :) We have had several late nights in a row and I am trying to get off caffeine. This is my first day!! I had to take a pain pill pretty early in the day because I was already getting a bad headache! I drink caffeine from the time I wake up until the time I finally go to sleep! Not good!! Wish me luck! :)

Well... Happy 4th of July my friends! :)
