That's GREAT! I can relate to your thoughts about being torn between spending Christmas with extended family and establishing your own traditions. My husband and I struggled with this, too, especially when we lived in closer proximity to our families. You did the right thing!!! I also hear ya on the balancing act! I, too, am going to try to work out a better system for 2012!!! It upset me at first to know that it was happening Christmas day, but Tara, Brittany and their families stay at home Christmas day in their PJs (well at least the kids do). Gary and I go to them. It just makes since for the kids to be able to stay home and the grandparents visit them. This was our 2nd year and it's not bad at all. It's hard to break away from tradition. But at some point, it seems you just need to make your own traditions. Love you!Alison F. What fun you have been having! Totally awesome!

Nice to start those new traditions.

Your thoughts on balance and krafty I echo. I have considerably moved back a lot from blogging and computer time. It's hard, but like you, it's easy to get swept up in it and get lost. Thanks for sharing it also makes me feel like I am not the only one trying to figure the balance thing out!

Hugs to you and yours This wonderful CHRISTmas season!~Tammy~https://www.blogger.com/profile/05815721175850105520noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3723927339920187862.post-44287090081734627202011-12-21T18:27:59.184-06:002011-12-21T18:27:59.184-06:00It's always nice to read your "talk"...It's always nice to read your "talk" on your blog - and don't feel too bad about breaking away from family Christmas gatherings to start some traditions of your own. I remember when we did that when Nancy was little - it was hard, but we told everyone they were welcome to come to our house if they wanted to! Stick to your guns, girl!!!Sarah Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18393284767325742399noreply@blogger.com
