I have almost let 2 days get away from me without posting! I have been on a mission around here. I am in the purging/organizing mode again. I have gotten a lot done but still have lots to do! It feels good though! Carver and I went through his toys yesterday to get rid of some of the toys that he doesn't play with anymore. Usually Carver doesn't want to part with anything. Once I promised him that we would go get this game (board game type thing) that he has been wanting... he was throwing things out right and left! :) I was really proud of him for how easily he let things go and how he really thought about if it was something he ever plays with or will ever play with. He got rid of everything that I would have gotten rid of for him. I was proud. Granted... I did bribe him but he still did really well!  I have 3 bags of toys/books to donate. I also took a bag and a half (the big trash bags) of stuff to Goodwill today. Most of that was Carvers stuff as well... clothes, etc! I love getting stuff out of my house! I swear it multiplies while I sleep!

Okay... so lets talk about the card!

I have had the privilege of making cards for the Quilt Ministry at our church. For those of you who don't know this story already... the Quilt Ministry was born out of a sweet friend, Sarah,  being obedient to God and making a quilt for me when I was going through my cancer stuff. Sarah felt that God was telling her to make a quilt for me. It was right around Thanksgiving when everyone was busy and she didn't want to do it because she didn't think she could get it done. God wasn't having that and so Sarah called up some other sweet ladies/friends and they spent a Saturday making me the most beautiful quilt. Thus... the Quilt Ministry was born and those ladies work long and hard to give beautiful quilts to people/families who are going through a difficult time or a joyous time (new baby).

Since then... I have been able to stamp a card that they give away along with the quilt. I have some cards that are full of writing on the inside but plain white on the front/back. So... usually my cards are stamped and maybe I add a rhinestone. Pretty simple.

HOWEVER... this card was made especially for Sarah. Sarah found out a month or so ago that she has breast cancer and she started chemo this week. The quilt ministry ladies got together... without Sarah knowing... and made her a beautiful quilt. I made this card to go along with the quilt which they gave to her last Sunday.

So many beautiful things have come out of such an ugly situation in my life. The Quilt Ministry alone was worth everything I went through! I am sure God would have used someone else's situation to get the ministry going but I feel very blessed that He chose me! These ladies are blessing so many people with their beautiful quilts! If you wouldn't mind saying a prayer or two for Sarah... we would both appreciate it! :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)

Oh Kelley, I will pray for Sarah! She sounds like a wonderful woman. I am so sorry to hear of her cancer. This card will definitely put a smile on her face, it's gorgeous!

Your card is lovely, and that verse perfect.
