Tuesday Trigger - Hoot Hoot

As soon as I saw this weeks Tuesday Trigger over at Cath's Moxie Fab... I knew I had to play. I love this owl pillow and the fact that this weeks challenge was inspired by my IRL crafting friend, Courtney... well... you see why I had to play! Plus... I have issues when it comes to missing out on a Moxie Fab challenge. I think I could benefit from some therapy! :) Lots of it!

I really need to be working on some stuff for a craft fair one week from today but... I can't stop making cards! :)

Just an FYI... I am chatty tonight so this is probably going to be a long post. Sorry... we did some early trick or treating tonight and I think it has a lot to do with all of the candy I have had! :) We just can't get around to all of our family in one night and stay more than 5 mins at each place. So... we just trick or treat two nights! We always take him to my mom and my MIL's work places so Nana and Granna can show little Carver man off! :) That boy is spoiled rotten!

ANYWAY... back to the card Kelley.... back to the card! So... can I say that I love this card? Is that okay? That probably means that most of you will NOT like it... seems to work out that way a lot of times! I guess I have bad taste or something!

Stay focused.... This card took a long time to make so I think that is why I am attached to it. It took a lot of brain power. :) I used one owl stamp from Prima. I wanted to have two owls that faced each other so I had to figure out how to make that happen. To get my second owl, I had to stamp the backside of the papers and cut out the pieces. Then... I had to draw with a black marker around the edges to make it look like it was stamped on the pp side. THEN I realized that I was going to have to draw squiggly lines on the belly of my backwards owl (since there were squigglies on the other one) SO.... I had to use my 'correct' owl belly as a template and cut another owl belly with no squigglies. Finally.... two owls facing each other.

So then came the piecing of the owls! They didn't fit together quite right so I had to distress them to hide the imperfections and one poor owl almost didn't win the battle against the tombow adhesive. I kept taking the pieces apart to try and fit them together better and I just prayed that I didn't have to start all that cutting over! Am I lazy? I think so!!

I painted my tree branch with Tim Holtz distress crackle paint so it looks cool IRL. Hard to see in the pic (no sunshine here... just clouds and rain). I used PTI's Soft Stone as my card base instead of white. I love that stuff and don't use it often enough!

After everything was dry and put together... I stamped my sentiment. Well... wouldn't you know that since I am rubber challenged and it was rubber stamp... I got a little stray ink under the Hoot. Why do I keep doing this when I know better? :) I decided the best way to cover it up (and easiest) was to just draw a line under the Hoot. I think it works!?!?! Oh... and in case you can't read what it says... It says... Friends of a Feather Hoot Together!!

So... that is my card. If you made it this far into my post... I love you! :) For those of you who didn't... well... you just missed out on an I love you! :)

BTW... one of my stitched flower cards was featured on the CARDS blog today. Woo Hoo!! Very exciting!!

Peace and Love!!

Everything But the Kitchen Sink Challenge #2

Yes... you read it right.... toilet paper! This weeks EBKS challenge is to use toilet paper! :) I know you guys can do it!! It was a lot of fun and all of the girls have come up with some great cards as inspiration.

The challenge starts today and ends on Sunday, November 8th at midnight CST.

This months hostess with the mostest is the one and only Kelly Marie Alvarez (lawnfawncards)! Kelly is offering up two fun stamp sets to this months winner. You can read all of the challenge details and link your creations over on Kelly's blog... click here... after you finish reading my post of course! :) Here is a pic of the prize that YOU could win!

This is my card... Mr. TP Mummy!!

I used Charmin toilet paper! :) My tp had a design on it so I just flipped it over to the non-design side. I tore off a long strip of tp and cut right down the middle to make two strips and then I just started wrapping my cardstock. Oh... I inked the edges first with distress ink. I think Mr. TP Mummy turned out pretty darn cute!

Please go visit these amazing ladies and see their unique creations for this challenge.

Winter Sims

Ann Cox

Courtney Baker

Lynnette Kauffman

We are so excited to see how you will think out of the box and come up with a card/page using toilet paper!! Please feel free to add the challenge graphic to your submission post!

As always... Thanks so much for visiting and leaving me some love!

Last night, I posted two different sets of pictures so... if you want to see some pictures of a cute little boy... come on back and scroll down after you visit these other amazing women!

Peace and Love!

Random Pictures

This is my second round of pics... if you want to see the Pumpkin Patch pics... they are below!
Again... no editing of the photos and in no particular order ... too lazy! :) Just wanted to share some recent pictures.

Here are our lame... I mean... scary pumpkins! :)

This is Dr. Eubanks in his scrubs today at preschool. Can you see the Dr. Eubanks stitched on there? Aren't they so cute! He wanted to be a doctor for Halloween. It was between that and Spider man! Not the best pic but I couldn't wait to share his little outfit.

Our lame...I mean... scary pumpkins again... during the day!

I can't believe that he actually put his hand in the pumpkin... he only did it once. He doesn't like for his hands to be dirty. I think I have created a monster! :)

I love it when he puts his 'helmet' on. He puts it on from time to time to ride his tricycle and when we throw the ball.

This is my sister-in-law, Lisa, and my neice, Natalee. Natalee will be 12 years old tomorrow... hard to believe! Aren't they both beautiful?

This is what Carver's hands look like after he gets done making a card. :)

This is Carver making a card... he used markers and stickers... so cute!

Check out Carver's face! He was helping to blow out Poppy's birthday candles! He had to have some help from his cousin! :)

Thanks again for checking out my pics! Peace and Love!

Pumpkin Patch Pictures

Here are some pics from our Pumpkin Patch trip... they are not in any order and I didn't take the time to fix any of them. I am doing good to just get them posted! :)

I think this is just sweet!

So is this!

This is the only decent picture of all of us! :)

First tire swing ride... he held on so tight and would close his eyes... so sweet!

I just love this picture of my two boys. Carver pulled the wagon just about the whole time we were there. Such the big boy!

Carver is checking out what is between the cracks!

Thanks for taking the time to check out our pictures! :) I haven't shared any in a while and I have been wanting to!

Stitched Cards

Here are my last two new cards that I submitted to the CARDS blog stitching challenge.

I made a Frankenstein card at this months SU workshop. On that card, we drew the scars and mouth on with a marker. I thought it would be fun to make another one and use stitching instead.

I always look forward to going to my class every month. Our demonstrator, Joyce, is so sweet and talented. I get to ride with my good friend, Alison, (who I love) and get to hang out with another friend Janet (who I also love). Of course there are other women in the class and I like all of them too. For the first year that I was in this workshop, I was in a different class that met on a different night. I was so thrilled to get to move into a class with a couple of my buddies. It is always fun crafting with friends!

Anyway... the other card... well... no inspiration behind it. I just had that arrow template and I thought it would be cute to stitch over a heart. Just a great little note to tuck away sometime in my hubby's suitcase or something!

Don't forget that we will announce the second Everything But the Kitchen Sink challenge bright and early on Friday morning! I hope you will all play along! There is a prize involved!! :)

On another note... I haven't shared anything 'personal' in a while. I guess I just haven't felt led to or... I have just been too 'busy' to listen. Tonight... I just want to share with you a little about our church and our high school kids.

I want to find a song and will have to post it later. It is a song that our high school band sings on Wednesday nights. I love it... it gets me emotional every time! But... let me tell you what gets me really emotional... seeing 75 plus or minus high school kids (not all of them but most) raising their hands, with their eyes closed (or open), and just worshiping God. I would NEVER have done that when I was a teenager. I still let my pride get the best of me a lot of times and think... who is going to be watching me and what will they think. The church I grew up in, you would never do that. You sang just to be singing... it wasn't really about true worship. Not to knock my childhood church... that is just how it was. You would probably have been kicked out of the church if you had done 'such a thing'! :)

I am soooo thankful to be at our church! I am so thankful that my son will grow up in a church where he will learn to worship and to not be ashamed. I mean... what are we going to be doing when we are in Heaven? We are going to be shouting and singing and raising our hands and dancing. Why don't we do that now? Pride?

Anyway... I just needed to share that. More as a confession than anything! I am so proud of those teenagers when I see them worship. I am ashamed at myself when I feel like I want to raise my hands in worship and I don't because of my own pride!

Hope you guys have had a wonderful Wednesday! I will see you again bright and early Friday morning! :)

Peace and Love!

Moxie Fab Ruffles Challenge

Well... I just couldn't stand it! I have thought about it everyday! I had to try the latest Moxie Fab challenge. Only a couple of hours to spare!

I thought I would sit out of this one... had a few ideas but none I could make work. Let's face it... I am just a tomboy at heart... no ruffles for this gal. I guess that even applies to cards!

Anyway... this is my attempt at making ruffles! :) Don't laugh.. just leave me sweet comments as always! Please! :) I just wanted to play along! :)

This is my 2nd post of the day. So... scroll on down to see my flower stitched cards!

CARDS Challenge

This weeks CARDS blog challenge is stitching!! Here are two cards that I have made so far! Hope to find time before the end of the week to make more! They were a lot of fun. Something therapeutic about just stitching!

Anyway... in an effort to save time (Carver is napping).. I will just tell you some of what I used. I used my Bazzill circle template, tools, and Bazzill floss! I used some Prima de Vines for the stems and some good ole' PTI paper for the centers with rhinestones. Sentiments are from PTI's Vintage Picnic Sentiments!

Hope you are all enjoying your Monday so far! Off to fold some clothes! :)

BTW... just a little note that our next Everything But the Kitchen Sink challenge is coming up soon! You won't want to miss it ... it will definitely be fun!!

Thanks for visiting me today! Peace and Love!

Sunday

Wow... I just woke up from a 3 hour nap! Feels good!! :)

Quick post! We are fixing to leave to go to my in-laws to celebrate Poppy (my FIL) and Natalee's (my niece) birthdays. The first card is for Poppy. Poppy is a Harley man!! :) I miss our Harley.... !! Anyway.... man cards are hard and I had this Harley paper so I went with it. I think it turned out pretty cool.

Natalee has always always always loved monkeys so I used this Unity monkey on the front of her gift card holder. The bad thing is... she is 12 now..!?!? yeah... pretty sure 12. So... I hope she still likes monkeys. Natalee is an animal lover so I think she will like it either way. I just took a picture of the front.

Well... that is all for now! I hope you all have had a great day!

Raspberry Suite #18

I love playing with Dawn's color challenges! I look forward to when a new one is posted! I love color but sometimes struggle with putting more than two colors together so I sometimes look back at the colors that Dawn puts together for inspiration! Where do you guys get your color inspiration from? Challenges? or are you just good at mixing colors? Any tips would be much appreciated! :)

This is my card for the latest challenge. I wanted to play with the In Bloom set since I have only used it once (I think) since I have gotten it. Of course I was late at jumping on the In Bloom wagon but am glad that I finally did.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful Saturday. I am posting this about 9:30 pm and I am already exhausted. We have had a very long day today! We went to the pumpkin patch, Gentry's Farm, this morning in Franklin. Once we got home, I put Carver down for a nap and then it was off to my parents house to have an early dinner with my dads side of the family. Man... I am still stuffed!! My mom is a great cook and there is always so much food. This year, she did actually let my aunts bring food which was also very good!! I don't think I will even eat at all tomorrow. I don't think I will need to!

Anyway... Michael and Carver stayed behind, when I went to my parents, since Carver was running a low fever yesterday. Don't want to take a chance on getting any of the kids sick. He hasn't had a fever at all today so that means we can go to church tomorrow.

I will post some pictures of our trip to the pumpkin patch/farm later on. I am too tired right now to look through them all!

Peace and Love!!

Tuesday Trigger

Wow... is this card bright or what? :)

This is my card for the Tuesday Trigger challenge that was issued on Cath's Moxie Fab blog! The picture of that cake caught my eye and is what inspired this card. I immediately thought of making felt flowers in those awesome bright colors! I love color!! I used some Kaiser black rhinestones as the flower centers.

Hope everyone is having a great Friday! We have had a good day so far and hope to go to the pumpkin patch tomorrow. Hopefully it won't be raining and we will be able to go. I got some of the best pictures last year of Carver walking around the huge pumpkin patch... I can't wait!

Just a note (mainly for myself) that I had two cards featured over on the CARDS blog today! Woo Hoo! Very exciting! I was a little surprised as I didn't think my cards were that great. After seeing all the other cards featured and how beautiful they were... I think Paige was just feeling sorry for me! :) Ha!! Whatever the case... I am very excited!

Peace and Love!!

Embellish The Cure Challenge

Don't you just love this Unity stamp? Man... soooo cute!

Okay... so this is my card for the Embellish The Cure Challenge. Kind of simple... like most of my cards but... I like it!

Well.... going to keep this short. Carver is napping. I have spent most of his nap time so far trying to get a good picture of this card. Some sunshine here but a mostly white card is just hard to photograph! At least for me anyway!

Hope you are all having a great day! Carver is doing better today! None of us have slept much the past couple of nights but I am hoping he will sleep in his bed tonight since he doesn't seem to have a fever yet today! Thank you for all of your prayers... keep them coming please! :)

Funny story real quick. I shouldn't share this but it is just too funny!

This morning, Carver was shaking me and saying, "Wake up Mommy... Wake up Mommy"! I woke up enough to hear him and said, "What is it son?". "What's that noise Mommy?" said Carver. "What noise?" said Mommy. "Coming from your mouth?" said Carver!! :) I think my snoring woke him up! :) Maybe that will be a good reminder tonight of why he needs to sleep in his own bed! Ha!!

Peace and Love!

Frazzled?

This is my submission for the current JUGS Challenge! I wanted to play along since one of my sweet bloggin buds, Dana, is on the design team! Plus... these colors are just fabulous... right? :)

I have loved this frazzled doll from Unity since the minute I laid eyes on her! She reminds me so much of the Raggedy Ann doll that I had when I was a little girl. I carried that doll around with me everywhere and still have it to this day! I think it is the only doll that I ever played with. Having two older brothers... I was more into playing football in the yard with them and the neighbor boy instead of playing with dolls!

Anyway.... my Raggedy Ann doll was such a mess that a sweet lady at my church made me a new one. However.... it didn't look just like my other doll and I just wasn't having it. I think I still have this doll too and it looks brand new! :)

So..... long story long... :) I thought of this stamp instantly when I saw these challenge colors. These are the colors of my doll!!

Hope you are all having a great day!

My little one is sick so I would appreciate any prayers that you guys would lift up on his behalf! He has a fever and a few other signs of what could be the flu! I am hoping it is just one of those viruses that he seems to get a lot. I wish it was nothing but I sure don't want it to be the flu!

Love you all!!

Stamps - go ahead wish (Unity)
Paper - Vintage Cream, Pure Poppy Bitty Box (PTI), Cosmo Cricket Early Bird - Cherry Pie

CARDS Collage Challenge

The CARDS blog challenge for this week is to make a card with lots of 'white' space and have a collage in a corner. I guess you could make it in the middle too but.... you get the picture.

Well... I thought this was a great idea. I was so excited to get to work on it and have spent the past two nights on these 3 cards. Yea... 2 nights (several hours both nights) on 3 cards! I thought it would be easy but boy... was I wrong.

I have been struggling AGAIN with the mojo and just life in general lately. Seems like I have soooo much to do and just not enough time in the day! Anyway... I will save that for another post. Life is good, I just seem to be creeping back into the same ole habits and I need to stop!

So... these are my 3 cards... I am officially done and moving on to something else!! I love this idea and want to make more but will have to do it some other time when I don't have to struggle so much with it!

Hope you all are having a great day!

I am going to be lazy and not post my supplies today!

Peace and Love!! :)

More of the Same

Hey all... this is another CAS Christmas! I still have a few more to show but I am only showing one at a time. I have been so busy the past few nights that I haven't been able to craft !! :( I hope to get some crafting in tonight so maybe I can show the rest of my CAS cards together because I will have some newer stuff to post!

This card is similar to a Thank you card that I made before with different color buttons. Michael gave that card away and I just liked seeing it so I wanted to make another one but make it Christmas! I guess when I give this one away, I will have to make another one for something else! I just love seeing that square of buttons!

Anyway.......... !!

Hope you all had a great Sunday! I am off to craft! (and wash/fold clothes)

Peace and Love!!

Bingo Birthday

Okay... so I am not sure that I know how to make a birthday card without using my Unity Bingo stamp! I am addicted!

This card was mailed to a blog friend the other day (thanks Lynnette for providing me with dates). I will not name the birthday girl since this card tells her age! :) Sometimes women have a hard time with turning 30! I was actually relieved when I turned 30. I felt like people would quit saying, "oh... your just a baby!" but... they didn't! :) I had a harder time with 29 than I did 30. I guess it was knowing that I only had one more year in my 20's.

Anyway... to the birthday girl.... Happy Birthday on Sunday! I hope you have an awesome birthday! And... if it makes you feel any better... I will always be older than you! :) I will turn 40 before you will! Well.... hopefully!!

Okay... well... thats all folks! :) I had hoped to be in the bed by now but my little one is still fighting sleep in his bed. Michael just went in there and had to put Carver's clothes back on... That Boy!! I think I am going to go to bed anyway! This will be a record for me... in the bed by 11pm. My body is going to be so happy! :)

Peace and Love!

Clean and Simple

This is another one of my CAS Christmas cards that I submitted to PTI's Guest Star Stamper contest. Not a whole lot to it but... I think that is the point of CAS! :)

Hope you all had a great Friday and have a fun filled weekend planned! Our yard sale did pretty well today even though it was cold all day. It started misting a couple of hours before the sale ended so I didn't have much traffic after that. I hope tomorrows weather will be better and I will do even better! Momma need some new stamps! :) No... Momma needs to pay some bills!!

So... while I was sitting in the garage, under a blanket, with a heater on my feet... I was doing my blog hopping and saw that I had four cards posted on the CARDS blog today for the Halloween challenge. I was so shocked... I wanted to cry! I was soooo happy and I think the lack of sleep last night didn't help much either! :) I have been pretty 'emotional' today or as my husband likes to say... 'feisty'!! :)

That being said... I am going to go so I can hopefully get a little more sleep tonight. Four hours just doesn't cut it!

Oh... and I got to meet my new baby girl tonight! She is so tiny and just beautiful!! I did really well (not crying) while I was visiting with Kim and Ella. As soon as I got in the car, I was just thinking at how happy Kim looked with her new little girl and I had to have a little cry. Kim and her husband have been blessed with a beautiful boy and now a beautiful girl. I am just so happy for her and so glad that she is my best friend!

While I am all sappy (if you haven't followed long... I get this way from time to time)... I am so glad that you are all my friends too! I received several emails, right after I saw my cards on the CARDS blog, from my blog friends saying Congrats! It is such a wonderful feeling to know that in this competitive world of challenges.. ha :) that I have friends who are happy for me and vice versa when one of us has a 'victory'! I am a pretty competitive person so I do get disappointed if I don't 'win' but I am always joyful for you... my friends... when you do! Love you all!!

Love... The Eubanks

This is my first Hero Arts stamp set! I bought it a while ago at Michael's because I just really wanted some Hero Arts stamps! The company blog always has so much fun stuff going on over there and I really want to be able to participate! I hope at some point, I will be able to get some more! Such cute stamps!!

So.... these little owls represent Michael, me, and Carver... if you hadn't already figured that out! I wanted to add the Love ... The Eubanks so whoever gets this card will hopefully 'get it'! :)

Hope you all have had a great Wednesday!

I woke up to Carver screaming, "I'm ready to get up"!! When I went in his room to get him up, Carver was naked... naked... and obviously had been all night since his bed was soaking wet and his pull up was on the floor completely dry!! Fun stuff! So.... first thing this morning... straight from the bed to the bath!

But... then I got on and saw that I got an honorable mention from Cath today for the Gradient is Radiant challenge so.... I got a little happier! :)

Well.... thats all for me folks! Peace and Love!

More Halloween

Well... this is the last of my Halloween cards! I don't know if I will make any more or not. I really love some of my Halloween patterned papers so I may have to make a mini-album with it. Who knows!?!? I need to go ahead and use it up so I can have an excuse to buy more next year! I LOVE this Pink Paislee paper!!

These googly eyes ( I can't think of what they are actually called) were in my Sunday school craft stash. They are so old that these had turned yellow/brownish! Perfect for a Halloween pumpkin! :)

Anywho.... not much to talk about today! Carver and I ran some errands today and he is napping so I am scheduling this post to go live in a few hours! My friend, Kim, has not had her baby yet so looks like I will be home tonight after all. I was hoping to see my new baby girl! I know Kim was hoping to have had her by now. I can only imagine how tired she must be!

I did win some Cosmo Cricket goodies from Cath at Moxie Fab today! Woo Hoo!! Who doesn't love Cosmo Cricket!?!? and Moxie Fab!??!?!

Hope you all have had a fantastic Tuesday! It is cool and gloomy here so I think I might use the rest of my 'free time' to take a quick nap! Talk to you all soon!

Peace and Love!

Punkin Head No. 2

Here he is.... punkin head #2!! I think he is my favorite of the two punkin heads but shhh... don't tell #1... he will get jealous! :)

Hope you all had a wonderful day today! We didn't do a whole lot today!

My friend, Kim, is going in to have her baby tomorrow so I am excited about that! I get to meet my little girl soon! I may not have a daughter of my own so I am glad that my best friend is having one for me! I will be able to subject her to crafting while the boys are playing with their trucks and trains! :)

Not a lot to chit chat about tonight! Carver is in the bed so it is time for Michael and I to watch our shows from earlier tonight!! I love this time of year for many reasons!! One of them being all of our shows are back on with new episodes! Yipee!!

Peace and Love!!
