Caardvarks Challenge

I have been seeing several people post cards for a Caardvarks Challenge. I haven't really looked at many new challenge blogs lately since I have been on my button kick! I thought I would go and check it out and I decided that I would love to play along! The challenge is to create a Winter Wonderland project.

I immediately thought of using the same colors that I used in this card for Tina's first challenge. I still think about the picture she posted... so many pretty colors and so sparkly! Not your 'typical' Christmas colors but I think that is why I love them so much!

Anyway... I pulled out some neglected Cornish Heritage Farm stamps... so cute! I love this little snowman! Thought I could give this card to the hubby, once the cold weather arrives, just as a little I Love You! Unfortunately... I don't do those things enough!

Well... that is it from me today! Have a fabulous Friday! Woo Hoo!

Supplies:
Stamps - Background Basics Retro (look Maile.. I did it!) :) ... PTI, Heart Warmers - Kim Hughes Collection (CHF)
Paper - Pink Passion, Only Orange, Tempting Turquoise (SU), Pure Poppy Bitty Dot, White (PTI)
Ink - P. Passion, O. Orange, P. Poppy, Chamomile Tea dye.. all for edges, True Black (PTI), Green Galore (SU)
Other - Snowflake punch, Clear Rhinestones (Kaiser), Copic Marker, Christmas Red Stickles (Ranger)

This Is It

This is the last button card that I have made to date. I don't have any more ideas! I think I am over the button craze of 09'! :) I, of course, still love buttons so hopefully I won't start hoarding them again! My bloggin bud, Stephanie, made the best Halloween card using buttons... it is sooo cool! I think, at some point, I will have to copy this one!

On to the current card.... I made this Sunday night. I had the idea for a couple of days before and was glad to stamp it out! Hopefully you get the idea... if not... let me explain. I thought it would be cute to stamp the bike from Everyday Button Bits at an angle and only add one button, you know... like the bike was missing it's front tire and that is why I was late!??! :)

Well... I am off to bed! I am up way too late... AGAIN! Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Oh... I almost forgot because I am so tired! How rude of me!

Thank you all so much for the great tips/advice for the beach! Most of what you guys told me, I would have never thought of on my own so I really appreciate you taking the time to share your great beach tips with me! You guys rock!

Supplies:
Stamps - Everyday Button Bits (PTI)
Paper - Kraft, Ocean Tides Bitty Box, Guidelines I (all PTI)
Ink - True Black (PTI), Vintage Photo Distress (Ranger)
Other - Long Rectangle Nestabilities, True Black Button (PTI), Copic Markers

Raspberry Suite Challenge 14

This is my submission for Dawn's latest color challenge. I love these colors! Dawn always has the best color combos!

This is the first time I have inked up my Polka Dot Basics II. Love It!!

I am sooooo excited about the new stuff coming out this month for PTI! Well... lets be honest... I usually am every month! What great stamp sets and OH MY... red and purple buttons!! Yum Yum!

You guys have any favorites this month? Would love to hear what my buddies are planning to purchase!

One other question that is kind of random... anyone out there have any advice/tips for taking toddlers to the beach? As far as... what to bring that I might not think of, etc!?!

Our family is planning a trip, hopefully sometime soon, to the beach. I really really really want to take Carver to the beach this year and capture some great moments on film (well... digital whatever). Michael knew of a Christian retreat that will let pastors and their families stay for free during their off season (which is like August - May). So... that is hard to pass up! That is a wonderful thing for them to do and I am so thankful that it is close enough that we may be able to take advantage of their generosity!

Anyway! I am chatty tonight! :)

I did get to visit some blogs today with minimal crazy computer stuff! It did start acting up again tonight but ... that is ok. It gave me time to work on this card!

Well... I will shut up now! Peace and Love!

Supplies:
Stamps - Polka Dot Basics II, Text Background (both PTI)
Paper - Vintage Cream, Plum Pudding, Scarlet Jewel (all PTI)
Ink - VersaMark, Plum Pudding (PTI)
Other - Scarlet Jewel Ribbon and Raspberry Fizz Button (PTI), Sizzix Flower Layers Die, Clear Rhinestones (Kaiser), Filigree Emboss Powder (PTI)

Chickadee

Well... this is the last of the button cards that I made a while ago. I used the Everyday Button Bits from PTI for the beak and the legs but I used a Fancy Flourish for the tail. I am sure this looks nothing like a chick with that big flourishy tail but hey... it is all good in card world, right?

I think I am going to be MIA, as far as visiting other blogs and commenting, for a few days. I am getting so frustrated with my laptop. I can get as far as visiting one blog and leaving a comment and then my machine starts opening a gazillion new windows and I have to hit the power button to turn it off. So... know that if I don't visit you for a couple of days... I still love ya! :)

I am able to post as long as I don't go through Picasa. So... that is good! I guess I am just going to have more time to make cards for the next few days!

My husband is multi-talented and does computer work on the side. I should have let him rebuild my machine when he asked to do it a while back because now he has several other computers he is working on for businesses so.... they come first! Momma needs a new set of stamps! HA!
Oh... and for those sweet ladies who have given me blog awards lately... I haven't forgotten. As soon as I can get my machine in proper working order... I plan to pass those on to some other sweet ladies!

Hope you all have a fabulous Tuesday!

Supplies: all PTI
Stamps - Everyday Button Bits, Fancy Flourishes
Paper - SS White
Ink - True Black, Chai Tea Dye

You Make Life Fun

My computer is doing some funky stuff tonight, as I am trying to check all of my fav blogs. I am not sure if it is my computer or blogger. I can get on things not related to google so I am not sure. Anyway... since I haven't done much blog hopping, I made a couple of new cards tonight. I was going to share my last 'old' button card with you but my Picasa is not letting me blog any of my saved pictures right now!

Ok... enough of that... just felt the need to talk about it.

The idea for this card just hit me while I was working on .. yes... another button card. Seriously... are you guys coming over for an intervention or what?!? :) I think I may need medicine!

I know you guys are sweet and say you enjoy my button cards but my goodness... enough is enough already, right? :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Monday! Peace and Love!
