Sweet Stamp Shop and May Arts Ribbon

 

Happy Wednesday!

Today I am sharing a card using Sweet Stamp Shop and May Arts! You can check out the SSS blog for projects using both companies all week. If you follow along and comment on each day... there are a few prizes involved. Make sure to check out the SSS blog for the details.

I looooove me some SSS stamps and I loooooooe May Arts Ribbon! When I think of quality ribbon... I think of May Arts. I have a pretty big collection of May Arts ribbon and twine! May Arts is my favorite hands down!! You can check out the May Arts blog here and the store here.

On my project today, I used Sweet Spring and Against the Grain stamp sets. I used two different orange ribbons by May Arts. I just layered the smaller ribbon on top of the wider ribbon!

I hope you are having a great day today! I didn't get in the bed until 4am this morning and I am typing up this post 'live' so... if I seem a little loopy... forgive me! :) We have some insulation guys coming to spray more insulation in our attic which means we had to get it cleaned out. I now need a nap and a massage! :) But my attic looks great! :)

Wow... with Penny Black

This card is over on the Penny Black blog today! Jenyfur asked us to make a card using our favorite new Penny Black set. It was a hard decision but I ended up choosing the new set called Wow... 40-112. When I got my new stamps... this is the one I wanted to play with first. Here is the set....

Hugs for Janelle Hayes

I was asked by the sweet Laurie if I wanted to participate in a blog hop for Janelle Hayes. My answer was an immediate "YES"! I love Janelle and am honored to be a part of a blog hop in her honor!

If you don't know Janelle... she was diagnosed at the end of July with a Stage 4 brain tumor that is inoperable. The past month or so has been the most difficult time for Janelle as far as her physical health has been concerned. Up until a few weeks ago... Janelle was able to keep up with her blog and continue her passion for crafting. Her husband, Ken, has been updating her blog lately because Janelle has not been able or not felt like doing so. I am praying that Janelle will feel well enough to get back at it soon!

Janelle and Ken are both wonderful people and I am so blessed that myself and my family were able to enjoy dinner with them a couple of years ago as they were passing through Tennessee. Janelle has always been so encouraging and she is someone that I have a great amount of respect for.

Mani and Pedi Time with Whisker Graphics

This is my 2nd post of the day... please scroll down for my Avocado Arts post. 

I LOVE the Whisker Graphics Bitty Bags! Today I am showing one that I used to make a gift card holder. I had my mother-in-law in mind when I made this. Usually at Christmas time each year... one of her gifts from us is a gift card to her favorite salon to get her nails done.

Here is the bags that I used for this holder....

There are several different options as far as sizes... you can visit the shop here.

I used the nail polish bottle from Hello Beautiful by Sweet Stamp Shop and the sentiment is from Gift Card Sentiments from My Creative Time.

Hey Chick with Avocado Arts

Happy Thursday!

Today I am showing a card that I made using the March Avocado Arts Kit called Springtime Celebrations!

I made my card base and stamped the image and sentiment on my base. Then I stamped the image on the colors, cut out the pieces and paper pieced onto my base. I used glossy accents on the glasses and liquid pearls on dots on the egg.

I hope you had a great weekend! Ours was good... the hubby got home Saturday night after a week away on a mission trip. So.... I had one happy little boy! And I was one happy momma! :)

March Avocado Arts with a Touch of April

Happy Thursday!

Today I am sharing a card with you using the March Avocado Arts stamp set called Springtime Celebrations with a sneak peek of the April set (the sentiment) called Sew Nice.

This is the March set... along with the Digi files that are also sold in the AA store.

I also used the set Avocado Style Borders and Sentiments on the grass.

I made my card base. Cut my white mat. Stamped and colored my images. Then I cut my piece of green and trimmed the top with scissors. I stamped the background and sentiment, added rhinestones and adhered the card together with liquid glue and dimensionals. I also added a touch of glossy accents to the clover!

I made this little Easter treat bucket using one of those cups that you use to die eggs in. I have a TON of them ... long story. Anyway... I plan to make 13 of these... or something similar to give to Carvers preschool class for Easter. The finished ones will have candy in them of course... I just haven't shopped for the candy yet. If I leave it around here too long... I may eat it! :)

Instagram Monday

Happy Monday! I don't have anything crafty to share today but I thought I would share some recent Instagram pics! :) You know how I love Instagram!
 

 Friday morning breakfast at McDonald's! :) Love this pic! They love each other!!

 Momma's new toy! :) I went with a cheaper version than what I had in mind.... but I think it will serve me just fine!

 I kept this from Cracker Barrel. I think it is the first time Carver has ever written letters/words in one of these. Michael had to tell him the letters to write but he was able to take it from there!! So proud! :)

 Tucker has apparently decided to take back his room. He has been hanging out with me in my craft room lately! :) 

 This picture shows how Tucker got his name. He will also tuck his head under your arm or whatever. It is really sweet! He is a sweet kitty boy!

 On Wednesday of last week, John Mackay... a Creationist... came to speak to the youth at church. The next day... they went on a field trip looking for fossils, etc. On Friday... Michael took Carver and I to one of the local spots they had gone to the day before. :)

Carver had to bring home a pet rock! :) It is sitting on 'my front porch'! Hee hee!

Weekend Sale on My For Sale Page

I have marked down the prices on my For Sale page on most everything except the May Arts Ribbon!

I want to get rid of this stuff so take a look! :) As of right now... the sale prices are just good for this weekend. I thought the prices were pretty good before with most everything like new (except not in original packaging) and being half off. So... it is temporary through the weekend unless I decide different before Monday! :)

My card is of course... super simple! I just created my card base, rounded the corners, stamped and colored. What can I say... I like easy and I like lots o' white space! :)
