Thursday post

Hope you are all having a great Thursday!

We just got home a little bit ago and I wanted to get on and say Thank you again for all of the prayers. The visitation last night and funeral today all went really well. Everyone seemed strong and just glad that Pa was no longer in pain. I know it is going to be the hardest on my grandmother but she has plans to move into an apartment complex for seniors. They always have social functions, etc... so I know she is going to love being there and being around people. I am sure she is going to find plenty to keep herself busy! My granny and pa lived out in the country so for many many years... it was just the two of them unless someone popped in for a visit. I think she will really enjoy being surrounded by other women and making new friends. I know she will miss my Pa... we all will!

So.... I am pooped and think I am going to go take a nap but I wanted to post and say Thank you!

I will also share a couple of cards that I made... one using the other new PTI release set that I bought. I made another card using this set that is also Christmas but it isn't a fav of mine so I haven't been in any hurry to take its picture! :) I will have to show it later on.

The second card is one that I made while looking for a sentiment. I saw this stamp set and I had an idea to use a toothpick to hang the sign so had to try it out.

I made these during the stamping craze of March 2010! :) It has been several days since I have made a card so I hope I haven't forgotten how! Maybe tonight I will feel like playing around for a while!

Peace and Love!

Cute cards, Kelley. Looks like you got two of the new PTI sets that are on my wishlist. My ever lengthening wishlist -- that will probably never be completely fulfilled. {sigh.} Sounds like your grandma will be in a good situation once she gets moved. The hardest days/weeks will be those coming up. It's just a matter of putting one foot in front of the other and carrying on. Oh -- and a strong faith surely helps. Sounds like that part is taken care of, and that is definitely something to be thankful for! Hugs to you!

Hello, my talented friend. While swooning over some of your latest fabulousness, I was horrified to learn that I missed the passing of your grandfather! I'm so very sorry for your loss! I'm sure it was a beautiful service, as YOU and your family would have surely contributed to that. I'm glad your grandmother "has a plan" ~ she sounds like a smart woman! Please know that my prayers are with you.... I adore you, sweet friend!

Glad to hear that your grandmother has a plan, perhaps it will help keep her focused. And your cards, they are fantastic! Its a breath of fresh air to see some Christmas cards. Have you ever used any other paper than PTI, I'm looking for a comparison between the PTI craft, white and cream versus the Stampin Up kind-I'm almost out of all three colors of my SU!

So glad that everything went well for you and your family over the past couple of days.
Love those holiday cards in March....I actually had the thought the other day of trying to attempt some Christmas cards, but haven't gotten around to it....maybe by November! Ha ha!

Glad to hear from you friend! I glad that you are keeping a positive outlook. Just to let you know, my Grandma went to live at a senior complex and it was FAB! She started doing her hair and makeup again. She was doing activities with the other people. It was great!

I'm happy to hear it all went as well as it could. I'm sure you are relieved to have this portion taken care of. Your grandmother's plan sounds like a very good one, for all the reasons you shared. I wish her the best in all the adjustments she will have to make.

Your cards are wonderful. I love the look of the simple cards, although I have a dickens of a time keeping things simple. Your toothpick idea was genius, and it works perfectly on that second card!

I hope you enjoy your weekend, Kelley.
