All About Dad - Post 2

Here are the three remaining dad cards that I made! Glad to have these out of my bucket!! :)

I have to post all of my cards... whether I like them or not... it is a sickness!!

Carver had his three year appointment today with his pediatrician! He did so good! He was such a big boy! I felt so bad because I told him that he didn' t have to get a shot and guess what... he had to get a shot!!! He cried a little with the shot but when they pricked his finger for blood... not a tear... he just sat and watched the whole thing!

Carver is in the 90th percentile for his height! Nothing we didn't already know! He is going to be a tall young man!

So... last night... we went to eat dinner with some friends and Michael had to go do some late night computer work. I gave Carver his bath and since Daddy wasn't home, Mommy got to lay beside Carvers bed on the floor until he fell asleep. Daddy doesn't do this every night but almost every night. Michael usually gets up before Carver ever falls asleep but he will stay in there for a few minutes and rub Carvers belly! Anyway.... I woke up.. still on the floor... at 1:30am!

I stayed up for a couple of hours trying to catch up on some emails and then I tried to go to sleep. After 1.5 Mt. Dews... I had a hard time getting back to sleep!

I am a little bummed these days! I haven't been the happiest person to be around lately! :) I think I need some more happy pills! Ha!! I am letting the devil fill me with fear! So... if you wouldn't mind saying a prayer for me... I would appreciate it! I have been so tired lately that I am getting scared that I still have cancer or something! I don't know why I do that to myself! Maybe it is from just being stuck in the house for so long. It could be from missing church on Sunday... it really does my soul good to go every Sunday! Maybe I am just not getting good sleep since I am sleeping on the couch or the floor half the night! Whatever it is.. I wish I would snap out of it!

Anyway... just felt the need to share! Maybe I need to get my craft on some more... that is always therapeutic and I haven't crafted in a few days! I have been too busy sleeping! :)

Okay... well.. enough boring chatter! Thanks for listening! Love you guys!

BTW... Don't forget about the EBKS challenge going on!

Also... Courtney is releasing her 2nd stamp set in a couple of days! Make sure to check her blog for the sneak peaks!

Peace and Love!

Well, all three cards are awesome, but I especially love the Comic one! So different from what you've been posting. I wish you luck in finding your happiness again.

I love these, Kelley! I really like the corkboard/push pin one!

I've been feeling the same way lately...kind of in a funk...maybe we need spring? :)

Great cards, Kelly!! Love them all!!

I agree with the gals. We're in need of spring and more creativity ;) I'll be sure to speak a little prayer. Maybe you can hum that old hymn, "There is power, power wonder working power in the blood of the Lamb, there is power power wonder working power in the precious blood of the Lamb..." it always helps me :)

Blessings

Great cards! You're always in my prayers but I think it's lack of sleep and all you mentioned.

Hey Kelley! I love those big push pins....so cute! I totally think the winter weather doesn't help right now....I've been crabby, tired, and so slow to get anything done. I need more sunshine!! or some vitamin D :)

Oh, Kelley. Sorry for your funk. I was listening to our local Christian radio station on my (3 minute) ride to work this morning and one of the DJs was telling about putting her son to bed the night before. He was avoiding the inevitable (going to sleep) by first showing her a cut on his finger (trying to get sympathy and extra mom-time, you know). "This is a new cut," he says. And then he pulls up his shirt and shows another place, "and this is an old cut." So, as she finally gets out of the room she's chuckling a bit at his avoidance tactics and then it hits her. How often do we, as adults, start bringing up our hurts, our wounds, new and (especially) old, as excuses to not do something. "Oh, I can't do that; I've been hurt..." etc. Not sure why I'm telling you all this, or even if it makes any sense, but it really hit me this morning. In fact, you're the second person I've related it to. I think there's a message in it (for me, most likely). Prayers coming your way. Love ya!

These are so cute! I love the push pin one! I will be praying for you! The devil trys to do that to me to and I have to rebuke him in the name of Jesus! I wish I could give you a big hug and tell you it's going to be ok, but I can't right now, I will when I see you in about 1 1/2 weeks! :) Love Ya!

All of the cards are super cute Kelley. I really like the last one, it looks really effective. Try and get some good sleep and some time outside the house, being at home all the time can really affect how you feel. Sending happy thoughts to you and you get your sunny mood back soon.xo

Love the cards! I may have to recreate the 3rd one for DH! Sorry you are feeling down. I think for me it is the end of winter blues. I'm ready for spring! Hope you will be feeling better soon - get some rest! :)
