CARDS Blog Challenge

Edit... This card was featured on the CARDS blog!

This is my submission to this weeks CARDS blog challenge... to make a shaped card! I love my Labels One dies! I really want the Labels 8 dies too... love those!

So... today has been fairly productive! Carver went to school today. He spent the night last night with my in-laws so between that and his trouble sleeping even while at home... this mornings drop off did not go well. I met them at the church to see Carver and to bring his school bag and lunch! Well... about 30 mins later I left to come back home! I should have just taken him with me because he was really upset but I really wanted to get some stuff done so I made him stay! He had calmed down but was still snubbing by the time I left. I started to go back and get him but after 3 phone calls to Michael, asking him to go check in on Carver, I finally decided he was okay and I got to work! I cleaned out a lot of Carvers toys and clothes that were too young/too small! I have two trash bags full waiting to go up into the attic and I am not even done with his closet yet! I still have the whole bottom to go through and that is a lot of toys.... most of them I hope to get rid of. I think he has a hard time playing with his toys because there are so many... almost like me... I think he gets overwhelmed and just doesn't know where to start or what to do! ha!

Anyway... so as tired as Carver was... he didn't nap at school. He had a sub today in his class so that always means that he isn't going to obey the rules. He is always good with his regular teacher but he tends to act out when she is not there and won't stay on his mat!

After we got home, and after a few threats, he FINALLY went to sleep! I got him up a while later and we went to eat dinner with Michael and then went to watch our youth teams play each other in their last game! Those boys are so funny!

Phew... apparently I am chatty tonight! :) I guess I just felt like sharing my day! Thanks for listening (reading)! Hope you all have had a great day!

Peace and Love!

SO pretty! I LOVE the flower and the colors are great! I have been eyeing those dies, I need to get some! Glad you got some de-cluttering done today! I worked on tax stuff again! I'm trying to get done so I don't have to get an extension. Pray that happens! :)

Very pretty shaped card, Kelley. The liquid pearls on the sentiment tag is a perfect touch. The flower is lovely, too. And now I need the BB tin types set. I avoided it in my last PTI order...
I know it's hard to leave an upset child at school, but in my experience they usually calm down faster when mom (or whomever) makes a quick break (hug, kiss, love you, I'll be back after lunch, hand child to teacher, leave). Sounds heartless, I know. We always call if a child doesn't calm down (which rarely happens) and we tell the mom to call us if she's worried and we'll go check in on the class to put her mind at ease (happens all the time). :)

Wonderful card, Kelley. That flower is so pretty (did you make it?) and I love the shape of the card.

Sounds like you had a doozy of a day (as did Carver). Let's hope he slept like a champ last night and will have an easier time of it today!
