New! New! New!

I actually made a couple of new cards last night! Woo Hoo! Came home from my SU workshop and brought out the sewing machine for another try! You can tell my sewing isn't perfect BUT after many many previous attempts... these are the first two that I felt okay going ahead and using! They were actually my only two attempts last night so... go me! Maybe I have finally figured out how to sew... Thanks Sarah! :) Next attempt ... I will try to just rotate my paper around and sew all the way around without taking it out. I hope it will look much better! I hope! :)

I also played with my new SU Bird punch!! Love that thing!

Sarah is a friend of mine and is an awesome sewing teacher! One of these cards I made just for her so... now, Sarah, you know what your Thank you card looks like! Ha! And... you will finally get it!

Sarah got a group of women together, at her house, the weekend before my surgery and all of the ladies worked together to make me a beautiful quilt. I will add a picture of it later. Once Michael gets home ... I will get that picture made and post it (and email them to you, Sarah... finally)! Such a sweet thing to do! I will never be able to express my appreciation! :)

Okay... here are the pics! Michael got home as the sun was setting so ... may have to try again tomorrow! But for now... here is a shot of the front, back (which has handwritten verses and hand drawn flowers) and then my silly husband wanted me to take a pic of him! :)

Anyway... I hope you are all having a great Friday! Sun is shining here and it is 50 degrees... feels almost like summer after the weather we have been having! Loving it! :)

Carver and I went to Pump It Up this morning and now he is officially worn out and is napping! I am worn out too but there is no nap for a stay at home mommy! Too many clothes to wash and iron! :)

Peace and Love!

I hear ya on the nap thing!!! But, at least Carver was worn out for a good nap. Even with no nap, sometimes, I just enjoy the quiet of Others napping!! I never knew I liked quiet until after I had kids!! lol :>

Great cards, Kelley! I bought that bird punch, too. Just haven't posted the cards I made with it yet. Soon... And, what a sweet quilt your friends made for you. A very special item to be treasured, for sure! Enjoy your weather -- hopefully it's going to be as nice in Tennessee as it's supposed to be in NC this weekend! (Isn't it amazing how warm 50 can feel?)

WOW!!! Awesome quilt.
Such a beautiful gift for you.
Your cards are wonderful and I think the sewing is perfect. You don't need to sew through the end....just stop right before the corner and keep the needle in the paper...lift the foot and turn the card...then put the foot down and off you go. I am sewing challenged LOL but that part is not too hard.
:0)

And your hubby is so funny! Love that bird punch! Such cute cards! I will be tackling trying to sew too one of these days, I bet there are good videos on youtube too!

Your stitching looks great, which reminds me that I have two thank you's that I need to stitch so I can send them out.
