For Janelle

Happy Tuesday! Carver started preschool this morning! He was so excited (even though he said he wasn't)... you could tell by the big grin on his face. He is growing up so fast! I am so proud of him!

I have spent my 'me' time so far ironing, washing clothes, getting cards boxed up to mail, getting cards written and in the mail, and getting a stash of cards gathered to give to a friend! It feels so great to actually mail and give away some of the cards that I tend to hoard!

While I am waiting on my lunch to cook... I thought I would take some time to post. I wanted to wait and post these until my friend, Janelle, had gotten them. She got them yesterday so... here they are!

Janelle Hayes is a sweet sweet lady! I love Janelle! I had the privilege of meeting Janelle and her husband, Ken, over a year ago. We were able to eat dinner together as they were passing through TN on their way home from visiting family!

Janelle was recently diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor! Janelle is the queen of thoughtful gifts. I had no idea what I could do for her. After talking to her sweet daughter over email, she suggested that I make some flat thank you cards. Janelle is a wonderful Christian lady! Her faith is so strong and I know she is touching so many lives as she is battling cancer and standing so strong in her faith.... In our God!!!!  I am so proud of her and so proud to call her my friend! Britt (Janelle's daughter) said Janelle would love something with scripture and that it didn't have to have thank you on it and it didn't have to have a lot of room to write. So... this is what I came up with! Hopefully she will find them useful and will be less stressed about trying to make thank yous herself.

If you would keep Janelle and her family in your prayers... I know she would so appreciate it... as would I!

Thanks for stopping by! Peace and love! :)

So so sweet of you Kelley. I know she mentioned your churches generous gift to her in a recent blog post. These gift sets are so lovely, and will come in handy for sure.

Oh, I'm sure she will love these. I read her blog today that she got a quilt from your church's quilting circle - what a blessing. I've been blown away by her faith. She's a shining example of God giving us the grace we need when we need it -- and heaping it upon her. I'm so thankful for that on her behalf. I love the verses on them - and I love that they're small so she doesn't feel like she has a huge note to fill up before mailing it. Perfection.

Kelley,

I've been wracking my brain trying to think of something the blog/stamping community could do to honor Janelle. I blog, but have very few, if any, followers, so I'd be just a little piccolo on my own. Since she is such a strong believer and wants God to be glorified, I wonder if there might be a way that there could be a "Pray for Janelle" blog hop (she'd probably be embarrassed, though) that also glorified God? I know you're busy with your little guy and may not think this is a good idea, but I just felt compelled to reach out to you.
