What I Am Doing...

What am I doing?

I can't believe that I am going to show you this but.... this is what I am doing...

I am cleaning OUT my craft/cat/crap room! :) I know it doesn't look like I am cleaning it because it doesn't look clean. I am actually just cleaning it out and then I will go back and give it a good cleaning! :) I am soooooooooooooo tired of having so much stuff... ! And I don't just mean in my craft room!

I have piles everywhere of stuff that is going to be going to a new home... somewhere... really soon! :) I am not kidding when I tell you that I have 'collected' scrapbooking supplies for well over 10 years now! And I have a hard time parting with things but.... not this time! Keeping my eye on the prize... a nice, clean and organized room with ONLY the stuff that I will use (at some point... ha)!

And... in case you are wondering... NO... the rest of my house doesn't look like this. Just this room! It is the 'catch all' room! Unfortunately! You can tell by the furnishings... a few are pieces that go with something else (bedroom furniture for example) that we have no where to store but cant fit in other rooms. One day I hope to get some new bedroom furniture and I can sell the whole set together. Anyway.... rambling! :)

Just wanted to post and show you what I am up to! I will be sure to post the after pictures so you can see that I do... indeed... know how to clean and organize! :)

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes! I had a wonderful day!! You guys are the best!

Peace and Love!

Supplies: you name it... it's there! :)

Ohhhhh! Am I silly for getting excited seeing this? I hate/love cleaning my scrap/crap/dog room, lol. I hate doing it, but I love discovering stuff I forgot about and having a clean workspace. It's so much more conducive to my creativity. Happy late bday and I hope it was far beyond wonderful!

PS, idea here: what if you did a blog candy or two with anything you decide to get rid of? I know I'd sign up!

It's going to feel so good once your done. I think I go through a major cleaning monthly, seriously. I'm continually selling and purging my room :) Can't wait to see your after pic. I know it's going to look great :)

Whoohoo!! You go girl! Your room is going to look fabulous when you are done! I've been contemplating getting rid of more of my stamping stuff because it's just sitting here not being used. It always feels good to get rid of things!

Best of luck, sweet Kelley! This is going to be wonderful for YOU and US to enjoy when it's done! Yipee!

Collecting too much stuff seems to be the hallmark of die-hard crafters, doesn't it? Good luck with the cleaning/organizing, Kelley. Then take a little drive to Charlotte -- there's a room here that could use a lot of help!

Good luck, girl! I know how you feel - mine needs mucking out too - but there's too much to be done to take the time to clean it out! Maybe I'll hit a lull and can follow your example.... Can't wait to see what yours looks like when you're done. If you feel like donating any of your overflow, I know of a good cause - Nancy is having a silent auction in June to help fund her adoption and would welcome anything!

Ooooh, I'm so excited for you Kelley! I totally believe you that you know how to clean and organize. *Ü* I will look forward to seeing your after. It's a TON of work, but gosh, oh so worth it in the end (having done a major purge not so long ago, I can completely empathize with the work part!) Looks like you got some great ideas of where some of your gently used items can go! Wonderful!
