Rain Rain and More Rain

Tennessee has been having some major flash flooding/storms going on the past two days. In Nashville and in the surrounding counties... homes, businesses, etc are flooded and the rain is still coming. It has been an interesting and sad couple of days. Several lives have been lost due to the flooding.

I just wanted to take a minute and post this picture that I took yesterday of our back yard. I am standing in the middle of my yard and our neighbor. We have a creek that runs behind our property and you cannot usually see it. It is behind the tree line. It looks like I am standing in the creek and that a good portion of my back yard is the creek. Luckily our house sits high up. Usually... I hate that fact... no level yard here but... looks like it is a good thing right now!

This photo is blurry because it is from my cell phone but I will probably show more later. The water has pushed down part of our fence. Michael couldn't get home yesterday and finally made it to our church. Last night, he was finally able to make it home. It slacked off for a while ... here... this morning but it has started again and our yard/creek is flowing and rising again!

Anyway.... there are much worse things going on for people around here. This is nothing compared to what others are dealing with. I am just documenting this for myself. This is the worst flooding I think we have ever had here in TN.

Peace and Love!

I traveled to my old homestead in TN, to Atlanta and back over the weekend. Everything, luckily was always to the west of us. When it came time to head back to KY, boy did I hit it. Our county has declared a state of disaster. I almost didn't make it home. However, today, the skies are so beautiful blue and clean, white puffy clouds! I hope you guys stayed dry. We spent the morning emptying boxes from our move in the basement and throwing stuff away because the finished basement leaked. Still waiting on the maintenance people to decide what to do about the wet nasty carpet.

Be blessed!

I've heard about the flooding down there. How terrible. I'm glad you're missing the most of it. That's just too much water to deal with. Stay safe and dry.
