Two Things

My niece, Paige, had her first fast pitch softball game last night. This is a picture of her on 3rd base right before she scored a run by sliding into home plate. We were all so proud. Her first slide was perfect .... she is a natural ball player. My brother, Chris, is the 3rd base coach in the picture. I know he was so proud.

Both of my brothers and I grew up playing sports so it is so thrilling to see my niece and nephew do well in sports. It is such a boost of confidence that will stick with them throughout their lives. I get so excited when I see any of my nieces and nephews do well in something. It makes me cry just about every time. I know my family thinks that I am just a big baby. :-) Seeing any of them have a moment of success, no matter how small, just makes my heart burst. I know that this 'little thing' is going to give them the confidence that they can do it again and again. Every one makes them a stronger person... more independent and more able to handle that next challenge whether it be on the field or in their classroom and in their life.

I am going to need some serious therapy in the future. If I can't hold it together now.... what am I going to do when/if Carver plays ball? I am going to be a crying mess! Not to mention... wanting to hurt anyone who is mean to my child. I feel that way now about my nieces and nephews. I think I will just have to home school and not let Carver have any friends, etc. :-)

So... now that everyone reading this has figured out I am crazy... I will move on! :-)

I didn't post a picture of me from Mother's Day with my baby so... here it is. Carver is giving his mommy a sweet kiss! I love him!

Also... I forgot the mention that my hubby got me a Papertrey gift certificate for Mother's Day! Whoo Hoo! Someone must be reading my blog! :)
