Tournament Day and A Man Card

My oldest nephew, Dustin, has a birthday coming up in a few days. This is the card that I made for him last night. I like how it turned out. I hope it is manly enough. It is hard to make man cards! :-)

Today has been another day of on again and off again rain/storms. I got up early and went to watch Paige play a softball game at 8am. It rained on us the entire time Paige played but they managed to finish the game. Paige and Alex both had ball tournaments today. Alex had a game at noon so instead of going home and having to drive right back, I hung out in town and went to the scrapbook store.

I was so excited to go by myself. I, of course, had to make a little purchase to celebrate the occasion. :-) Carver usually accompanies me and our visits include a few spankings or threats of spankings, crying, temper tantrums, and Carver saying, "I just lookin mommy"!! Carver wants to grab everything and you just can't grab stuff in the scrapbook store... not without ripping it or wrinkling it and mommy having to buy it. I think the first time I took him in there, I ended up buying some buttons. Well ever since, as soon as we get in the store, Carver says "I want to hold the buttons". Sometimes I just let him carry around a pack of buttons so at least one hand will be full. :-)

Back to the ballgames... Michael and Carver met me for lunch at the ballpark and then we were going to watch Alex play. Alex's game ended up being an hour and a half behind schedule so Carver and I came home. Carver was in desperate need of a nap and so was I. I did a few things while he slept but then I took about an hour nap myself. It was nice! I hope I will have the energy now to make a card or two tonight.

Thanks Courtney! It makes me happy when you like my cards! :-)

I got some of the Wisteria BG paper, a few more Lime Rickey pieces, and a few pieces of Creative Imaginations 4th of July paper. I also got some pages for my American Crafts scrapbook. I got one of those scrapbooks a while back but I wanted some different pages to go in it. The Scrap Room had some half off so I got a pack like Ali Edwards used that have pockets to put stuff in. I really need get started on Carver's scrapbook. I have just finally figured out how I want to do it! So now I have to get with it!
