Happy Birthday Alex!!
My nephew, Alex, celebrates his birthday this week! We celebrated his birthday at lunch today! It is hard to believe that he is 13 years old! That little toot has grown up so fast and bless his parents heart... he has officially started acting like a teenager! :) We know he will grow out of it... we just pray his parents don't kill him before he can! Ha!
Alex is into football and girls right now! Since I didn't think I should make him some type of girl card... I went with a football card! It had money in it so... I hope he liked it! :) Alex is officially at the age where he just wants money for gifts now! That is nice in a way because how easy is that... just stopping by the ATM!??! It is also a little sad! It just means he is growing up!
Alex is so tall and handsome! We are very proud of him and know that he is going to do great things with his life! I love him!! I will forever be Boo Boo thanks to him! If he ever calls me Kelley... I think I will have to whip him! I don't care how old and big he gets!
Hope you all had a wonderful Sunday and have great plans for Labor Day!! We are going to have dinner at a friends house! I am looking forward to that! Peace and Love!

Ohhhhh, "Boo Boo!" {Hey, I like that! :oD)
What a beautiful tribute to a lovely young man! Such gorgeous photography of him, to boot! Gosh, what an wonderful card to celebrate this birthday! Just enough man/boy/birthday/sport but still juicy and artistic and WONDERFUL! Great compromise! (I shudder to think of what the "girl crazy" alternative would have been! hee hee) Anyway, Boo Boo.. uh, ur.. I mean, Kelley! LOVELY, card! Lovely photos and lovely tribute to this exceptional young man with so much fun life in front of him! Yipee!
Happy Birthday, Alex! Wow, you created a fab masculine card, I am sure he liked it! I don`t want to think about how fast the kids are growing...
Boo Boo?? Maybe you`d like to share the story about that?
Hugs,
Vanessa
This is perfect! I'm sure he will love it! I'll have to remember this for my BIL- he is a HUGE football fan!
Great football card, Kelley. And what a handsome 13 year old Alex is! (Thankfully, they do grow out of their 13-year-old-ness... but it does take awhile as it then becomes their 14-year-old-ness... 15-year-old-ness, etc.) Have a wonderful holiday!
Kelley...I LOVVVEEED that card!! I'm gonna take it up to Southside School and show it in the office and to some teachers and his football coaches! Sorry...may mean some business for you!! It's too amazing not to show off! But I was FLOORED at your card. I didn't see it until we were leaving yesterday and I looked at it and showed it to your mom and said "Oh my gosh!! HOW did she do this?!" You are SO talented! It was just the most gorgeous perfect card for him. You couldn't BUY anything more perfect! And what a memory it will make for him! I look at the photo above you took, and I still remember the day we brought him home from the hospital. 7 1/2 lbs., beautiful and round. Makes me tear up thinking about it. Oh my gosh, my gosh, the days fly by. Here, my oldest son is expecting his second child and here my youngest is turning into a man. Alex says he can't wait to leave the nest and leave me and Dad standing there with dust flying in our faces. But that's a good thing. They are MEANT to leave the nest and stretch their wings and fly. But do I dread those days coming up when it will just be me and Mike here alone. NOPE! Actually looking forward to it. Rediscovering our love for just each other with no kids blocking our view. Vacationing where WE want to go, eating where WE want to eat, running through the house necked if we want! LOL! When I was turning 40 four years ago, and realizing Alex was growing up fast and he would be my last child, I felt like I needed to have another baby to fill that void in my heart, but I didn't really WANT to have another one. I felt too old to go through it all again. The Holy Spirit passed along my message to God, and boom! God answered my prayer. In walks Dustin and Kayla and says "You're gonna be a grandmother!" My little Shay has filled that void in my heart. GRANDMOTHER. MOTHER/GRANDMOTHER. What a blessing. I'm full. Thanks God!
What a cutie. And your card is just darling. Perfect for him, by the looks of it.
Great football card - love the bold, graphic style & how it goes sooooo well with the photo!
Ahhhh....middle school age....Be prepared to fast forward until he's about 16 1/2 or 17 and turns normal again :)
Ciao - Boo Boo!!
Very nice! I'll have to remember this card, my nephew is turning 14 on Thursday and he also plays football and has the same school colors, and I still need to make a card! :) Boo Boo and Boo is the nickname I gave my daughter when she was a baby. I still call her that at games and stuff on accident! It fine to call her that at home, but she doen't like it in public! :)
Such a sweet tribute and a great card! I love how you did the "birthday" on top of the football- fun! My oldest is 12 and I've just started to see a glimpse of the "teenager" in him. It's fun. scary, exciting - for ALL of us ;0)
Such a great boy card! Love it!
