Happy Halloween!

This is a card that I made a long time ago! I wanted to go ahead and post it since I haven't made anything else that I can share yet. I submitted several cards to Paper Crafts! Since the deadline is tonight, I can start working on some new stuff to blog! After September 15th... I will have a lot of cards to share! 16 new ones unless, by some miracle, they pick one to publish! I am sure a lot of you have been submitting as well so... good luck to all of us! :)

I used my new Bo Bunny Halloween papers and some Making Memories pieces that I picked up last year! Not my fav card but it is still cute to me because it is Halloween! I love Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day! We went to a friends house for lunch and had a great time hanging out with some good friends! We have just been around the house the rest of the day, except for a short trip to Target!

Two things that I want to share because I have had questions/comments about them recently...

1. boo boo... my nephew, Alex, was probably 1 year old when he started calling me boo boo! My mom would always run through everyone's names with him. Alex could say na na, pa pa, da da, ma ma, kiss (for chris) but he would always just get quiet when mom asked him to say Kelley. One day mom and I had him with us on a trip to the mall and mom was going over names with him. When she got to Kelley, Alex got real quite and then came out with boo boo! We laughed and I have been boo boo ever since! From then on, he would say boo boo when you asked him to say Kelley! :)

2. my blog header picture... this is a picture that I took last summer. I had some flowers planted in the front yard and every time Carver and I would go outside, he would go pick a flower for both hands. When we would get ready to go in, I would ask him to leave them outside on the bench. One day I took pictures of the flowers he picked. Since I was using my bench/pew as my natural light backdrop to take pics of my cards, I thought this picture would be a good fit for my blog name! It has special meaning that only I know about (but now you do too)!!

Peace and Love!!

Love the card and the story of your blog header!

Yeah! I like those stories and especially the explanation about your blog header pic! Funny, but some of the most gorgeous, artsy and professional pictures I have seen in the blog world have usually included some sort of incidents with one's child.. Magic lil' fairies that they are! Anywhoo, speaking of magic...

HALLOWEEN MAGIC, that is! Wow! What a fun card! I've resisted buying anything "Halloweenish" that's new for a few years, but this year... I'm already GONE! Never mind THAT. Your card and your well wishes for the other carpele tunel (I don't know how to spell that - doh!) challenged from all the typing for PC... THANK you for the well wishes and wish you the SAME: best of luck and may they be astonished by your vision and talent! So there! :o)

I smiled the moment I saw this card! So incredibly cute! Hooray for shopping trips to Target... I think that may be one of my all-time favorite stores. :)

I keep my fingers crossed about the submission thing! They have to publish you!!! And if we are not being published, we`ll have a lot of beautiful cards to share with our blogworld friends!

Super cute card, Kelley! I can't believe you submitted 16 cards! I was too busy with the start of school to submit anything...hoping to get a few done for the next deadline.

I love that little vampire! Good luck with the submissions, I have yet to try that. I keep saying I'm going to but never get around to it. Procrastination at it's finest. And love the picture story. Isn't it sweet how some of the simple seemingly insignificant moments become some of the fondest memories ?!

Hey Kelley! I am so glad you submitted, I knew you could do it, and see your blog didn't even suffer! :) Mine sure did though! I did submit again, not as many as last time, with school starting and being sick, I just didn't get to get all my ideas on paper! Just hoping for at least one! :) Good luck to all of us!

Hehe, that little character totally makes me smile. Great color combos on the card!

Oh and I LOVE the stories! Boo boo is precious! My son calls my dad Bumpa since that's what came from his mouth when he attempted Grandpa, lol. It stuck! And the header, I looked after reading, how pretty! And even better that it has meaning.
